Wonderful resort, excellent restaurant, ideal location, close to ski slopes, helpful staff. The view through the window to the lake is perfect. I highly recommend booking a sauna. The apartments are fully adapted for living with children, nicely furnished.

Gorgeous igloo with everything I needed, the staff were really welcoming and breakfast was delicious.

Personnel was kind and shared tips and tricks, huts are super comfortable, main area has ton of coaches to relax and beautiful deco. Some services that are included surprised me like the winter suit lend, and a sled to move around. We took the shuttle to the center and it was great too. Breakfast and dinner are well equipped and have good quality products.

Wow! What a fantastic stay at Aurora Village. Beautiful accommodation and delicious meals. Lots of activities to do. A highlight was the Husky Sledding and the Wood Barrel Sauna/Ice Swim.

Although it is situated within a short distance of just 5min walk from Saariselkä, you can admire the aurora from your cabin, without any excessive light pollution, and enjoy the activities in the snowy forest. You may easily walk even to the Ski Center (approx. 20min). The resort is perfectly organized. The main building hosts the reception, where there is always someone full of kindness to help you on anything you might need, and the super cozy lounge area where you can relax, have your breakfast or dinner. The meals are delicious, perfectly served with plenty of food and a great view outside! In the Safari House, the meeting place for all the activities close to the main building, you may ask for thermal/waterproof suits, mittens, boots and balaclavas, that you may keep during your stay. Activities: definitely book for a 5-10km Husky ride, a 2-hour Cross-country Skiing lesson and of course Aurora Hunting. Aurora Camps on the Border and by the Lake are probably their best. The activities are very well organized and the guides are super friendly and helpful. Although the Aurora Huntings are not trully huntings since they have a certain destination, it is a great experience, perfectly organized, with photo shootings by professional cameras. The cabins are super cozy, warm, clean, spacious, with amenities and a tablet on the wall as your link to the reception but mostly as your aurora alert, which truly works! The bathroom is also spacious. We saw the aurora both nights from our cabin, apart from our aurora huntings. But even if we hadn't, it is still an amazing experience to sleep literally under the stars and wake up with the view of a snowy forest!!! The helpfulness of the sales department is also worth to be mentioned. NLV is indeed a luxury option compared to other hotels and resorts nearby, but the overall experience that it offers undoubtedly is worth paying for.

Opened in December 2012, this Finnish Lapland property is set in Ranua Wildlife Park, 5 minutes’ drive from central Ranua. Convenient location, great facilities. The apartment was spotless, and the staff is quite friendly. Easy access to Ranua Zoo.

Sunday Morning Resort features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and shared lounge in Pyhätunturi. I loved the hotel, the staff was very helpful and friendly . They made us feel very welcomed . They had an excellent sauna and a fine dinner with excellent food.
