Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Wifi was really terrible - I not able to do basic things such as WhatsApp calls. Communication & Wifi connectivity is very essential as travellers must be able to access the internet and make and receive WhatsApp calls easily. Having reliable internet connection adds a lot of value and prestige to the overall stay
I was allowed to check in early which was a nice gesture, and the room was as advertised (very good).

United KingdomThe bathrooms are so dimly lit it is impossible to see for a decent morning shave.
Breakfast is a manic occasion. It is so busy particularly if you decide to have a lie in and arrive anytime from 9am. Everything is basically buffet style apart from hot drinks which results in a hit and miss approach with staff remembering or often not to bring requested drinks to the table. If you eat in the garden be prepared to be swooped over by the bird life who are vigilant and surprisingly aggressive in their mission to get at what is on your plate. Don’t leave it unattended; parts of it will be consumed by the time you return!

NorwayWas charged 20 Dirham/6 USD for some icecubes to the room. No ice machines availlable, nowhere to collect it, only option to pay the money... Unexpected from a 5 start hotel, -never experienced anywhere else in the world...
Location very good. Easy acess to Jumeira Walk, beach, town etc. Perfect with Mall and many restaurants just cross the street, easy to taka a bech break and have a lunch w/ ruin yourselves at the beach restaurant, -generally high prices at the hotel..

United Arab EmiratesThe bed quality was a bit undesired and the hotel needs a bit renovation but overall it is very good one with its value
The food was british based but truly you could find anything that makes you full, the location was surely incredible with its infinity pool and closeness to some of the best beaches and the staff was amazing and supportive for any request, definitely we'll be back and even recommend for Dubai residents for staycation as well.

HungaryBy cleanliness I don't mean the daily cleaning, it was fine. Some of the carpets, walls, furniture felt not so clean, so a bit of deep cleaning would be nice because otherwise everything was perfect.
The staff was amazing, so helpful.

United Arab EmiratesThe food prices are really high. The food options are not international. There are few options for kids. Also, the outdoor infinity pool is too deep for someone of normal height (5'6") was on tippy toe. Aside from the steps area, there aren't many places to relax in the pool. Definitely not for children.
The indoor pool is amazing. not too deep, nor too shallow. The lazy river is enjoyable for the kids.

United KingdomThe only negative is the check out process is a bit odd, you have to wait 5 - 10 mins once you have handed back the keys before they then complete the checkout. I believe it’s to check for product use etc but other hotels do this more efficiently. Despite this, the hotel was incredible and I’d still recommend them!
Good breakfast with very attentive staff and an overall fantastic place to stay in Dubai. Would recommend to others and will be back.

IrelandIt's a 5* due to location but it's more like a 4* in terms of service and facilities. However, this is reflected in the price of the hotel rooms. This hotel is being used by a UK package travel company and so there are a certain amount of holidayers that are there on a half board type basis and there are themed nights (we didn't attend any but if you wanted you could pay approximately €48 per person for a buffet meal). The mini bar is vastly overpriced, at €12 appx for a small can of Pringles. We were surprised that some of the guests were walking around with a lot of body parts on show at breakfast and in the lobby. This is more of a respect thing from guests than a hotel issue but it brings the tone down a bit and it is still in UAE so would have thought it would be respectful to be at least covering the essentials. Overall, an affordable place to stay in Dubai.
Breakfast options were amazing, not limited to one type of cuisine. Lovely views from the pool and private beach. Very comfortable room and bed. Hotel is very clean. Location is very convenient and Nakheel Mall is a 5 minute walk away. Security staff were absolutely excellent as were reception and staff in Dukes Bar and at breakfast.
