Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesMosquitoes at the Open restaurant! Blame it on Dubai rains.☺️☺️
Mr. Jagadeesh greeted, welcomed and made our stay comfortable. Staff was good and helpful to explain the vast facilities and features available in the location. Buggy transport was useful to see the far off places. Good beach and plenty of swimming pools. Dinner at Indian restaurant was special.

United KingdomThe food was nice but not always great. The ice cream was disgusting. Everything seemed like an extra and costly. At times it felt more like a corporate hotel so maybe staying in one of the other resorts would have been more relaxing and comforting. The location was really out there
It had everything you needed and more in terms of activities

United Arab EmiratesEverything is always excellent
We have stayed at The Beach Hotel and Palm View several times as we love them but this was our first time at JA Lake View and it was equally as excellent. We love all of the hotels within JA because the facilities are so good for everyone (adults only or families). It's our absolute favourite hotel in Dubai. The beaches are stunning, the pools are brilliant and the service and staff are very kind. Plus there are plenty of amazing dining options.

United Arab EmiratesIt was an amazing stay for us.The rooms were very well maintained and clean. We had a 5 month old baby and the staff helped with a nice crib. The rooms were very spacious also. The splash park was a great experience for our 8 year old son. The lush green atmosphere and natural environment just made it all the more perfect!!

PortugalThings we didn’t like about the hotel: There are different type of meal plan. We chose Half Board, and we found it super shady. Like “you can go to this and this restaurant but not those” then it turned out we actually could go to most restaurants (the nice ones) we had actually a daily credit to spend there. We only had to pay excess or drinks. Every time we wanted to book either restaurants or the shuttle to the mall they would say “its full” then we would try and go and it was fine. Not full. So we found some stuff not very nice and helpful trying to kind of making things difficult. The Resort is super far from the city and all attractions. So if you are looking to have a hotel life kind of holiday I would recommend. Its great to chill. But not if you want to know Dubai and do lots of things there. Its super far and gets expensive to travel all the time.
We loved the hotel facilities. Basically the Hotel is on a huge Resort with 2 other hotels. You have plenty of activities. Sports. Restaurants. Beach. Bars. There’s a shuttle to take you around the Resort. Very nice and handy. There’s also a complimentary shuttle to take you to the mall. Which is quite a long ride. So its very helpful.

SwitzerlandI booked the half-board option and whilst in general the evening meals were good, a few things could be improved: - Several of the restaurants included in the half board package were closed when I was there, limiting my options. - There was not a lot of choice for vegetarians, and in some cases no vegetarian main course options. - None of the menus at any of the restaurants had dairy-free dessert options (I am allergic). Each time the chef was able to offer a sorbet (once mistakenly giving me ice cream) or fresh fruit (the same fruit available at breakfast) but nothing else. There were renovation works going on in the bedroom next to mine, which meant on one morning I was woken up early by the sound of drilling. The drilling was also in a room directly above the adult-only pool meaning that relaxing next to the pool during the day was sometimes accompanied by the sound of drilling... On several days during my stay the door between the breakfast room and the terrace was shut due to wind. It was possible to access the terrace via a side door which was a little inconvenient, but more frustrating was that the staff didn't often come out onto the terrace which meant long waits for coffee orders. It's a pity the pools weren't open earlier/later - only opening at 9.00am and closing at 18.00. It would have been nice to be able to have a swim before breakfast / an evening swim. A warning that the airport is an hour's drive away by taxi *without* traffic. I was generally lucky, but one taxi driver told me that he has had people miss their flights because they don't leave enough time for the traffic. He mentioned that there is a toll-road one can take to the airport, so consider whether it's worth to pay for this so as to reduce the risk of missing your flight or to leave extra time.
Overall I had a wonderful stay. I particularly enjoyed the adult-only pool (there were a lot of children staying when I was there as it was during Easter vacation so it was good to have a small oasis of calm), the well-equipped gym, being able to stroll around the resort and down to the beach, the free yoga class, and the always-very-helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent every day (it was great that it was open until 11.00am too), and I enjoyed reading the free newspaper each morning with my breakfast. Thank you also for the free room upgrade to a one-bedroom suite (although this did then turn out to be next to the drilling! Although that wasn't in general an issue as I didn't spend much time in my room). The room was very well equipped with plentiful free water and tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains very effective at keeping out the morning light, as the sun rose earlier than I did!

FranceImpossible to bring food on site. While we understand the rule, as a family with very young kids it would have been good to have the possibility to buy some food items on site as it was difficult to eat at restaurants with two infants.
Amazing resort with so much to do. We went there as a family of 4 with two infants, and decided to stay in a suite to allow more space / babies could sleep in separate rooms. The room was tidied to high standard every day. There is so much to do even for little ones (we have one toddler), from the splash area to the different pools, to the beach and creche. The staff were overall excellent and super nice (bartender at Palmito pool was exceptional!). Highly recommend!

United Arab EmiratesHalf board excludes any drinks, even hot tea or juice, from the dinner buffet. Very noisy at night from the disco club, and every evening the restaurant downstairs was doing loudly their table/furniture rearrangements, and daytime annoyingly loud private company parties at beach. Not sure why the private parties have to use so loud speakers and mics while guests are relaxing at the beach and cannot participate in these events. Restaurant staff were always forgetting your order for the drinks. Had to follow up several times. There were no dispensers of hot water, unlike in many other hotels.
It was very modern and clean building with great field for golf players. Friendly staff at reception.
