Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe only thing I would say is that the hotel doesn’t have evening entertainment/night show which I think would be a great add on because not everybody wants to go to games room after dinner especially I’ve your on a couples holiday or gaming is not your thing. Also reservation team needs to make their customers aware of the deposit on arrival so the customers are not faced with an unexpected bill.
What me and my family loved about the property was the aesthetics, how welcoming the staff were, the restaurants that came with half board or full board, the hotel was family friendly and they go above and beyond to ensure your stay with them is enjoyable.

Saudi Arabialocation is bet far away , our room 166 first floor , if you stay at the balcony at night you will hear the garbage car coming with very loud noise for about one hour , frankly speaking this the first time in my life to see that in very luxury hotel , club lounge need more improvement for the food varieties for example why you dont offer a breakfast in the morning why is your happy hour just two hours only why you dont make it more , at the end raya restaurant at the six floor the food is not up to your standard i believe you should talk to the chief about it ,

Special thanks to Dasun at the beach and our room cleaners(who we didn't get there names,room 547) who were soo nice to us! They are hard working men ,kind and always in great mood. I usually travel a lot and I try different hotels for my clients who invest in hotels. This time I visited the Taj Hotel and I was so surprised at how great my experience was there. The staff was very friendly, and the place was very clean, very quiet and perfect for families, couples or solo travellers who want to have a great time in an amazing environment. Breakfast was very good and delicious with a lot of options and great quality. The hotel is beautiful I highly suggest this place and 10000% I will come back to stay for more time.

United Arab EmiratesModerate to poor level of hygiene inside the room: table surfaces with tea/coffee stains/rings, the TV remote controller’s disposable cover not changed from previous guests (still had not clean hand prints), the floor has hair/dust, etc. Housekeeping efforts can be further invested. Child-friendly food, selection and portions aren’t very available from across the “fancy” restaurants of the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff from the reception, to the housekeeping passing by the pool/beach personnel: always there to assist. They made us feel welcome anywhere we went.
