Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hot water didn't always work in the room. It may have been able to be fixed, but we were only staying one night, so it wasn't a big deal
Beautiful rooms and dining area and grounds. All of the staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

United KingdomOnly the shower, the flow wasn’t good and the shower had to be held to wash your hair😫 But a lovely relaxing 3 night stay here.
Lovely rooms with a view of lake Argentino. Good breakfast, self service. Dining room with views and a lounge area where you could sit to have a drink in the evening. Great staff, friendly and helpful. They arranged a taxi to take us to the Glaciar and airport transfers. We loved the walks and the horseriding. Lots of birds to see. Lots of places to sit in the garden. Food good but not exceptional.

United States of AmericaJust note that it is far from El Calafate and expensive to get a taxi there. Food at the estancia, lunch and dinner, is not terribly diverse so we went into town once and brought back a few healthy and interesting snacks, fruit. Wifi is not great. However, pluses far outweigh any of this
It was magic. So beautiful ! Allow yourself a few days there to really relax. The staff is wonderful: Tomas, Facundo, Magdalena, Victoria. And absolutely don’t miss the Dia de Campo, where you can see how the estancia runs, and used to run, followed by a feast

United KingdomA very minor point that did not really impact our enjoyment of the stay but if you are staying more than a couple of nights then the menu (which is the same for lunch and dinner) is a little limited
A truly magical stay here for 3 nights. The location is magnificent with beautiful views over the lake and the wider farm estate. The staff were exceptional and really helped make our stay as special as possible. The activities were great and well priced. A special thanks to all of the staff including: Dolores, Madeline, Facundo (and his sister!), Nico, Tom and all of the other staff including the super-friendly young guy (whose name we cannot recall) but whose debut season is clearly going well!

FranceWonderful place that has kept its legacy and authenticity. One of the few estancias where the Argentinian countryside means home. Astonishing view on the lake, great staff and service. Beautiful horse-ride on the lake side welcomed by the local wildlife. Would recommend without hesitation.

What an amazing place! A little off the town of El Calafate, this place is an oasis in the middle of the Patagonian background. Really professional and friendly staff, always ready to help, a real plus! The ride around Lake Argentina was just amazing.

SpainIt is only reachable by car or taxi (which is pretty expensive). We expected a bit more about the hotel itself (for the price). One of the windows in our room didn’t close too well and it was a bit cold. I have to say though that the staff was very friendly and helpful and we could also enjoy a very good dinner there!
The hotel is by the lake which has an amazing blue color and is surrounded by fields with many horses and other animals, which makes it great!

United States of AmericaThe room was was nice - overlooked the lake. The bathroom was old, the bathtub surround was cracked in several places and there was a very strong smell of mold. The sink was tiny. The breakfast was adequate.
The location was beautiful - on a lake with lovely gardens. The receptionist was very helpful -she helped us get lunch even though we had checked in just after the restaurant had closed and she was very gracious.

RussiaI didn't see animals there. Not in the evening, not in the morning or daytime. No one sheep. Everything was empty. You have so many colorful pictures with animals and gaucho but when you arrive its just a very simple room with a bed on a maybe farm.
Nice farm, good breakfast. We had hot water in the room.

CanadaOverall, the hotel needs an upgrade. For the price of the hotel, we expected better meals. The breakfast options were sparse and the dinner we had was mediocre. Better to go to El Calafate for meals.
Staff were lovely. They were professional and went out if their way to assist us. The room was comfortable and the views are beautiful.
