Personally, I didn't like the pillows, they were too soft for my taste, so I didn't sleep well. This is not the hotel's fault, though, as people have different needs when it comes to sleeping.

Such a beautiful hotel in a really cool neighbourhood. I especially liked the personalized welcome card with a sweet message. Everyone was incredibly nice and we enjoyed the breakfast so much - it was in a beautiful room, with great music and a wonderful waitress. I think it's one of the loveliest hotels I've ever been to. The building itself is a marvel.

I loved the interior design of this sumptuous hotel and you really feel you have stepped back in time but with all the mod cons. This is a hotel you will remember staying at because it is so different. We loved the room with the records and appreciated that you could help yourself to a coffee in this room. Breakfast was a delight. The location is a little out of the centre but so easy and cheap to hop on the underground trains. Our room was gorgeous but a little on the small side and lacking storage if you are staying for more than a couple of nights.

The hotel met our expectations.

Fabulous hotel, in a good location near the metro and access to cafes. Great 1920’s decor throughout. Very well designed rooms maximising space available to great effect. Access to cocktail bar in the basement with same opulent decor. Highly recommended for a short visit to Vienna.

Style, character and lots of thoughtful touches. A bar with over 400 whiskys and soothing 40/50s music. This hotel enjoys providing good service and something special.

If the floor of the shower room can be a bit higher, then it is perfect!

I love this hotel! It is so lovely to see the greeting card with your name by handwriting when you arrive at your room. It made you feel so warm and so welcomed. The location is excellent, you can take U3 to go everywhere. The staff are very nice and the breakfast is awesome! The decoration of the room is so beautiful, a combination of vintage and modern style.

The hotel has a very nice flair. The colours on all the floors are pleasant and the rooms have a very cozy atmosphere. The lobby, even though we didn't use it a lot, was very nice too. Excellent breakfast in what turns into quite a decent bar at night. Service during breakfast was excellent. The bar was packed and therefore the service was a bit slower, still friendly and nice. If you are a very fresh couple you might experience an upgrade of your relationship as the facilities are not very private.

Everything🤍 I loved it! It was actually the best hotel I have ever stayed!! The staff was great, they were kind, careful, and gave me a warm welcome from the beginning. Sara especially was amazing, she also helped my sister to arrange the cake and flowers for my birthday. Everytime I went out to visit the city, I couldn't wait to go back to enjoy the hotel, especially the bar downstairs where I felt like I was living in a movie. It gave me great vibes and overall Every moment in Josefine was worth it. It felt like home 🤍

Staying in Hotel Josefine was like living in a dream from a jazz-infused bygone era, yet with all the amenities of today—including a heavenly bed that felt like sleeping in the clouds. We also loved the surrounding areas of Mariahilf and Neubau, which provided us with a more neighborhood-like “home” to return to after a day spent sightseeing in the more bustling downtown.

My stay at Die Josefine in Vienna was nothing short of delightful. Stepping into the hotel felt like stepping back in time to the glamorous 1920s, with its charming decoration and ambiance. The staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was not only immaculately clean but also beautifully appointed, with attention to detail that truly enhanced my experience. The comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep, and the amenities offered everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the hotel's convenient location, just a minute away from the metro, yet within a leisurely 20-minute stroll to the center of Vienna. This allowed me to easily explore the city's attractions while still enjoying a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, Die Josefine exceeded my expectations in every way, offering a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience. I cannot wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vienna.

Having a small refrigerator in the room would have been a nice addition, but its absence isn't a deal-breaker.

The room is generously sized, with beautiful fittings and a very comfortable bed. Don't be deterred by the bathroom layout; the toilet is separately enclosed by its own door, and a large curtain can be drawn to fully separate the bathroom area from the bedroom.

What can you say? This hotel has everything you need for a city break in Vienna. Beautifully decorated, Josefine is cosy with a modern take on classic themes. We had a cosy room, tastefully decorated and well equipped with a comfortable bed and plush decor. A beautiful separate shower and WC, and hand basin in the room made it feel like we had taken rooms in 1920s-era Vienna. We loved the Roberts radio and the ability to stream music. When in the room we listened to Austria's Classic-Radio which added to the ambience of the room. Downstairs you have the Phonotek room, where you can get a drink or a coffee whilst perusing the vast vinyl collection ad playing some bangers. We liked some of the old German records especially ones by James Last and the extensive range of disco floor fillers. We also like piped 1920s-1930s music around the hotel. And that's the thing about Josefine, the little details. The key for your room and the key fob; the bottle of wine to great you; the coffee in the Phonotek room whilst you wait for your room; the dressing gowns and slippers; the little notebook they give you so you can record your stay. All these little things make Josefine different along with the ability to step back in time. Amazing location - 30 minutes from the Airport by Taxi. Everything close like buses, U-Bahn and shops. Breakfast at Josefine is a ritual of the highest standard. You'll have to book and after you have been seated by the lovely staff. We had the standard breakfast included and you get the widest range of options from omelettes, salmon platters, Viennese porridge, toast, beautiful local bread (including Gluten Free Options), bacon and eggs and continental options. There are additional options available such as Eggs Benedict at extra cost. All presented on an afternoon tea stand. Staff are totally brilliant, so helpful and lovely. Amazing level of service.
