Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Singapore1. First night it was really hot as there was no fan in the room. Fortunately, they kept a fan next day it was fine for the next 4 days. 2. I hope the hotel will keep a kettle in the room - i usually drink tea when i wake up early and i had to come down after 6 am to collect hot water. 3. I really needed hot water sometime in the afternoon as i was feeling cold - i had to pay 1 euro 50 cents at the bar for a 250 ml of hot water!!! This is ridiculous. It is not alcohol i am asking for "hot water" for health reasons....Please improve. A kettle in the room is very useful. Unfortunately, i did not ask at the reception whether they provide kettle to boil water. For future visitors, please check this at the reception. It will be useful, you will never know when you get cold and cough (especially if you have pollen allergy - It is the month of May and temperature can be quite different during day and night)....
I booked the room with breakfast - if you opt for breakfast on the spot, it is not worth it. I have stayed here more than 7 -8 times in the last 10 years - whenever I visit Vienna for the convenient location. Good for a morning walk around the Danube. Room is comfortable but i will write about something in the next box. Hotel provided fan the second night onwards, which was very useful. Easy transport - tram and buses to Kagran, airport bus stops nearby.

United KingdomPrior to booking we noted that the Hotel had no air conditioning so there was no expectation, and we prefer to have the window open for some air flow. The Hotel is situated on a junction and in an outward facing room there would have been transport noise. We had a room overlooking the car park with no view (that didn't matter since we were out all day). However we were disappointed that patrons would leave the bar via the car park, or just go out to smoke. Their loud conversations drifted upwards and continued well after midnight disturbing our sleep each night. We thought them selfish and giving no consideration to other guests. There didn't appear to be an 'accessible' entrance without steps and the entrance door was extremely heavy to open.
The Hotel is located on one of the three airport bus routes (VAL Line 3) and around a ten minute walk to the nearest U-bahn (Alte Donau). Buses and Trams also stop 'on the doorstep', making it easy to get into the City centre. Breakfast was buffet-style and very good, except decaffeinated coffee wasn't evident. We were able to leave our luggage in a secure luggage room on arrival prior to checking in and again after checking out, giving us almost an extra day and a half as tourists without having to drag our luggage around. There are restaurants at the nearby Westfield Donau Zentrum shopping mall, a bus or tram ride away, or a McDonalds across the road. We felt safe staying in this area of Vienna.

NigeriaI was expecting my room to be cleaned daily and only learned when I went to complain about the trash needing to be taken out, that I had to indicate with a tag on the door for my room to be cleaned else, the cleaning staff would not go into the room to clean. I think this information should be shared with guests at check-in.
The staff are pleasant, polite and helpful.

IrelandThe check-in process was a bit of a mess. My flight was delayed, so I didn't get to the hotel until after 1am. I had remembered reading that there 24-hour reception, so I thought that it wouldn't be an issue if I got there a bit late. When I arrived, the night porter told me that if you are going to arrive there after 11pm, you must tell the hotel in advance so they can make arrangements for your late check-in. He told me that this is clearly stated on Booking.com. That may be the case, just I didn't remember reading it. In any event, my flight was delayed, so if it hadn't been delayed, I would have arrived on time. Anyway, the night porter told me that due to my late arrival, even though I had pre-paid for the room, they had cancelled my booking and had released my room. Thankfully nobody else took the room in the couple of hours between 11pm and my arrival, and he was able to perform the check-in process for me wihtout any issue. So my main advice is to let the hotel know in advance if you're going to get there after 11pm, if you want to avoid an argument on arrival, and the risk of your room being sold on to another guest before you get there.
I stayed in Lenas Hotel Donau which was just a kilometre away from Donaupark parkrun. I thought the room was reasonably priced room. Decent buffet breakfast there served from the pre-parkrun-friendly time of 6:30am until 10:00am. Great selection of food including fresh fruit at the buffet. The staff were very helpful in the morning of my stay, providing me with a plastic bag to put my running gear in for my onward travel.

LithuaniaEverything was good, however if the outside temperature would be very high, then it would be a problem to sleep at night, because conditioner works very loud and outside is very noisy too, so to open the window wouldn't be an option. Other than that, the room was very clean, bed was quite comfortable as well. So all in all, I have no complaints.
