Very basic and small. Didnt have enough crockery, utensils, chairs, couches for number of guests. Matress was extremely uncomfortable on 1 bed. Shower over bath was poor. Badly in need of upgrade, worn and disrepaired.

    Good location, nice and warm

Terrible welcome. One of the reception staff was incredibly unhelpful (other staff member was thankfully helpful). Our Booking had been deleted from Arlberg system (despite us pre-paying in full and having received confirmation). Telling us they do not recommend Booking.Com was not useful after having accepted the booking and taken the money. Pool area in need of renovation.

Location was good with very convenient bus stop (for both local and airport buses) but also short walk to central. Room was clean, bar and restaurant were good. Ski hire and restaurant staff were friendly.

There was not any information on how to gain access - first time travelling there. An email prior to check in would have been sufficient, no info in room about how to get around or no advertising of things to do within the premises. Phones don't get answered, only email correspondence - not helpful when you don't know how to gain access.

It is only a short walk to top of Hotham, bus stop out the front if you want to go down to other parts of Hotham.

No way of getting the luggage to the room from the car. Hotel does not assist (like other hotels). No dedicated space for equipment storage, you have to take it back up to your room. Room didn't really have any equipment storage space either. On-snow accommodation that seems to forget that its at the snow.

Nice room, heated pool. Well located at hotham

It doesn’t have curtains and the stove is too old and needs a match to start. The hanger bar in the closet is broken.

Before arriving i emailed the hotel to ask if i could leave bags somewhere until check-in time. I was told I couldn't and that i need to leave bags in my car until check in. I replied to say i would be travelling by bus and asked if there was anywhere on the mountain i could hire a locker until check in. I received a reply 'just come up and we will have to find a way to store the bags'. When we arrived, the receptionist was helpful and told us about the lockers in the hotel we could hire for $10 per day. So in the end it was easy but I didn't know what we would do before arriving.

The room was always warm .

Getting your bags from the car to your room is an effort. You need to get a park right out the front and then carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs before you can access the lift. Not a criticism but there were a lot of uni students staying at the property when we were there. They were all very respectful when we asked them to keep it down a bit.

Well located a short walk to Hotham Central and with a bus stop right out the front. Room was very comfortable. Heater works well, ability to leave your skis at the front door was very helpful.

The room we were allocated wasn't the room we booked which meant two of us (6ft + Adults) were in bunk beds. Also, the bathroom was in desperate need of renovating; broken toilet seat, shower base was massively chipped, shower curtain (🙄) was covered in red mould. The oven had a broken gas clicker so there was a match box with one used match. One morning we were interrupted by a tradesman investigating a downstairs leak. It was from 'our' kitchen sink. We washed up 2 mugs.... When I went to bed in the tiny bunk instead of the double bed we had booked, I discovered the bed was made short so had to get up and remake it so the sheet covered the mattress. For the price, don't!

The position was good. Fairly close to main lift.

Looking a little tired and old, I stayed here 20 years ago, and not much has changed. In 2023, to not have free WIFI is a little behind the times.

Close to the top of the hill, everything you need.

Hotel is dated and more like a hostel like than hotel. Couches in room are worn and not comfortable to sit on, beds are small narrow singles on bunks. Not all beds were made, and not enough linen for them, pillows were flat and old. Place needs a good revamp and deep clean. No areas to just hang out in comfort outside of your room No WiFi, extreme limited mobile data on mountain. Checkout says 10am however doors will lock at 9am Restaurant was ok, however menu is limited and chips were pale.

Location was great, short walk to lifts and buses stop right outside entry

The stairs on check in/out killed us. Would be great for a service to take bags to rear doors, where all floors are accessible by the lift.

Loved the location and the short walking distance to the main shopping precinct and access for skiing.
