Nothing, everything was great! One of the best hotel stays I've ever had at this price point.

Alma Chilota is an excellent boutique hotel in Castro, with the bonus of giving guests the experience of staying in a palafito. The staff were very welcoming, and always ready to answer questions or help provide recommendations. The room was spotless, and the linens were fresh, and clean, and smelled amazing. The bathroom was a little bit tight for my tall husband, but it was also clean and the water was hot with great pressure. Breakfast offerings were fairly extensive for such a small hotel, and included meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, bread & toast, sweet cakes, and eggs cooked to order. Coffee was always hot and ready to go around the clock, and hot water and hot milk were also available for tea drinkers. Watching the sea lions and dolphins play in the fjord was also amazing. Several excellent dinner locations are located just a few steps away along the same road.

The breakfast room is beautiful. All glassed overlooking the bay full of boats and swans. The room even has a boat dingy converted into a table. We had the windowed room on 2nd floor again with beautiful room. Bed mattress was EXCELLENT and topped comfortable pillows and down comforter. Very clean bathroom, nice choice of personal care products and good hot water. Absolutely highly recommend.

Charming wonderful place. Be sure to get the larger room with the bay window! Incredible view, comfortable beds, great breakfast, interior decor was so cool. I spent 6 weeks in Chile, this was one of my favorites!

Everything was great!

Alma Chilota was a beautiful, relaxing, amazing place to stay; so much so that we ended up booking two more nights after doing some camping. The rooms are well appointed, breakfast is delicious, with the staff cooking eggs fresh, and flan, sweet bread, cereals, yogurt and hot beverages available.

Great property and one of the palafito properties with the lounge and some rooms overlooking the water. Staff very helpful (and did laundry for us). Breakfast had good spread of the usual eggs, bread, cheese, fruit, cereal etc

What a wonderful B&B. We stayed in room #6. It had the most amazing view of the water. We saw dolphins, black-necked swans and seals from our window. I’d definitely recommend asking for this room if you’re planning on staying here. The location is excellent - really close to several great restaurants and the downtown area. We parked our rental car right outside the door on the street and had no issues. Our host was super kind - we had to leave early to catch a flight and she pre-made us a very nice breakfast. The perfect host - highly recommend.

Everything is good! If you want a warm fresh cook breakfast (eggs menu) the owner will make it for you on request or sometime she will ask before hand. The decorations are very chic. And the room is so cozy with a very comfortable bed and stunning view that you can go out to feel the fresh clean air outside on the balcony.

Unfortunately the information provided in Booking was not correct and what we expected to be a room with sea view ended up having no view at all. We were promised that we would get sea view next day, which unfortunately did not happen.

This is a very cosy hotel, where one feels almost as at home. The ambiance is good, with excellent background music and fantastic hosts.

This is an outstanding property right on the shoreline of Castro. We had views of dolphins and seals every morning with our delicious breakfast and our room on the third floor was one of the best we stayed at. I highly recommend 10 / 10.

the building is wood and it transmits sound from the floor above you and the hallways. Not a big problem, but with noisy guests it could be. the smaller interior rooms have very small windows with NO view. could be somewhat claustrophobic.

We arrived due to an accidental booking before Alma Chilota had even opened. Despite us being a total surprise, Lorena and Fernando were super welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. It’s a beautiful building with lovely rooms in a great location overlooking the water. It was a pleasure to be the first guests to two such friendly hosts.
