WiFi in the tiny cabins would have been great so that we could arrange our tours in the area. However, WiFi was available in the main restaurant/lodge and was fast and easy to use. When booking, there wasn't a mention of having to pay extra to use the hot tubs located by each tiny cabin. We were surprised and disappointed about receiving notification of that the day before our trip. The price was very high to use the hot tubs, so we didn't use it.

The location is amazing, and our tiny cabin had wonderful views of the lake. Wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the wind and the waves. Food in the restaurant was basic but good, and the atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. A great place to order a bottle of wine and play a board game. We had a wonderful stay at Chalenko. We used the toaster oven in the cabin to heat up left-over pizza from the restaurant which worked out great. We also appreciated the tea pot and coffee available in the tiny cabin.

I can't say that I didn't like anything.

We were delighted with our accommodations at Chelenko Lodge. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. The innovative and well-designed 'container units' were thoughtfully conceived - especially in consideration of the high winds that are 'normal' for this region. The sliding doors were good quality to keep those winds out. There was a small table with two chairs, plus tea/coffee amenities. Slightly cramped, but serviceable. The queen bed was comfortable and linens were fresh, clean and crisp. The small but cozy bathroom perfectly suited the entire suite and the shower water was plentiful and hot! Great to have the marvelous lake view!

Amazing location. Seriously so close to the lake we fell asleep to the sounds of the small lapping waves. Fantastic view. We could hear the people next to us but, for the most art it was quiet. The heating unit was perfect let us warm when we needed it. The bathroom was a good size and the shower had good pressure and was hot. There was an electric kettle And fully set table so we could make our own meals with hot water OR go to the restaurant right on site. There was no internet in the rooms, but there was in the restaurant, which also had plenty of space to hang out on couches and not have to sit at a table. We didn’t use the hot tubs but each cabana has one. Overall, if you think of it as glamping, it was great!

The meals are pretty poor although the pizza on our second night was ok. The staff are not very warm and welcoming. We had a kettle and fridge, it was a shame they couldn't throw in a few tea bags, coffee sachets and a jug of milk.

The location is stunning. The lake view is gorgeous and it is handy to Puerto Rio Tranquilo.

No WIFI in room, Toilet did not flush well and water never got hot enough for a shower. We told the office and they said it was the best it gets. This place is in a very windy cold location. Not much to do here.

no WiFi. We visited a farm not far to this hotel where they install a Star Link satellite internet. monthly subscription $50, equipment $400. I think most of people would pay $10+ a day for internet access and this is also profitable and convenient for customers.

No wifi with very limited phone reception, doors sticking, limited seating (ie beds for 4 pax but stools for 3), and $60,000 additional charge each time to use the hot tub. (By way of comparison, this was not much less than another operator in the region charged me for a 6 hour trip over to their exclusive volcanic hot springs via catamaran, with robe, towel and footwear included, as well as a zodiac ride, cocktail and generous canapes!

The location on the lake was very pretty. Having a small kitchenette was good.

This is all about the location, which is amazing. Isolated, so if you want to eat it’s a drive to Rio Tranquillo.
