Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt is quiet far from the centre of town, so be prepared if you do not have a rental car
The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! The outdoor kitchen was nice, we loved relaxing in the outdoor space. It was very peaceful and quiet, also a lot of cute dogs and cats to pet !

DenmarkYou need very good satnav to find the place because it is outside San Pedro and it is unmarked. Once you reach what looks like a construction site (not so easy to see at night time), you are there. The rooms are okay. There is no breskfast, no coffee, no fridge, but staff (if you find them) will be happy to provide you with a bucket of ice. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent.
Good value for money in generally overpriced San Pedro. Away from the backpacker crowds.

GermanyThe rooms dont have neither a van or anything else to fresh up, the windows we needed to close as there was moscitos...so we didnt sleep that well.I really think it is an investment the owner should do.
The lodge is outside of San Pedro de Atacama, so you do need a car or bike. .They do have a big kitchen with fridge which you can use. The guy taking care of the lodge was very friendly and helpful

AustraliaBeing a little out of the town means you need a car or taxis, but this is easy to manage
Loved staying at Lodge Don Felix - Jorge and the rest of the staff were so kind and accomodating. We extended our stay twice and both times they made it work for us, and even helped us book a cab for our super early bus trip to Argentina. It was so nice staying in a quiet area just outside of Atacama, with a big kitchen to use and peaceful desert vibes. Would definitely stay again!

United KingdomIt was too far out of town, and a 30 minute walk in the heat to get in. The owners did give us 2 lifts which was really kind, but this wasn't always available. The room was incredibly hot and kept the heat, it would benefit from a fan.
Lovely room and bed, large space. The bathroom was great too and the terrace, as well as use of the shared facilities including a fridge.

NetherlandsA bit far from the centre but no issue if you are by car or rent a bike
This is a very quiet place a bit out of San Pedro centre. When you are by car, no problem but if not it is a 30 minute walk although the owners can bring you and pick you up from the centre. Furthermore be aware that they do not serve breakfast. A simple hostel with friendly people.

MexicoA little difficult to find (exact address was not in my GPS).
The friendliness and helpfulness of the hostess Maria Elena who was always ready to serve any of our needs. The quietness from the "maddening crowd". Lovely, sunny terrace for breakfast (self-served),with hot water for coffee provided by the hostess.

LatviaKitchen was a bit dirty on the first day, old food laying around, but the owner came and cleaned it up nicely the next day.
Great lodge with nice big kitchen to prepare food ourselves. Nice location a bit away from center of the city-just what we needed. Nice staff, especially the cat Minny, she was very chatty and friendly and that gave a really at home feeling. Spent 4 very nice days here.

Germany- no Response from the renter for days (only when I told her, I wouldn't pay the full amount if the problems wouldnt be solved) - no heating (until the last night) - no hot water (except for about 5 minutes in the 4 days) - bugs in the room - the hot tub wasn't working (she didn't try anything to get it worked or even apologized).
Outdoor terrace and that we were provided Towels for Geysirs, also free parking on site (w/ a huge 4x4 pickup bit slim, but you're fine if you can handle your truck). She fought her ways through her (mostly) unknown hardware and software so I could pay w/ credit card. The dogs on the premise are nice.

United KingdomWe couldn't find the owner when we got there and it is about a 25 minute walk to the centre. You could rent bikes from the main town or the owner did offer a lift, we didn't use this so not sure if tyere is a charge
It was a good price for the area and you got your own bathroom bedroom and little patio area.

Malaysia-as we were there during winter, we wished the room has an electronic kettle and some cups/utensils, so that we could boil hot water for our tea, especially as it gets really cold at night & in the morning - despite the room being quaint, it doesn't come with much heating system and it gets really cold at night. - the biggest concern for us was that there were some issues with the water heater during our stay. There were some nights we had to have cold shower given the lack of hot water. :(
- the host was helpful and attentive with the communication during our stay. - location: great view of the mountains especially during sunset on a good day! - safety: given as it's a gated area, we feel really safe staying here. -parking: a safe and proper parking for our rented car was the key reason we booked this place. And we got to park the car right in front of our room.

BelgiumA lovely hotel at the outskirt of the city, with a laid-back atmosphere and a real, cosy, homely feel. Beautiful surroundings with adobe walls. Adorable, genuinely friendly hosts and keeper. Large, comfortable rooms, stylishly decorated with ethnic touches. Nice breakfast served by the lady of the house on your own terrace table. Lovely, friendly, joyful dogs running around. Reasonably good internet, hot water (blue for hot, red for cold). Our favorite place in Chili
