We really enjoyed our stay in hotel Gavina, very nice hotel with great facilities. The views from the hotel were fantastic, we had a lovely sea view from our room and the breakfast area in particular had stunning views of the ocean waves. The staff were great, especially one lady whose name I didn't properly catch (Vivianne I believe?) who was lovely and very helpful. The location was also great, close to some very nice beaches and also right beside a street that had several nice pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, right on the ocean. The breakfast buffet is really good. There is secure undercover parking. There are some nice restaurants a short walk away.

The airco in the dining room was blowing hard from many spots in the ceiling and freezing cold. You could see that guests did not appreciate it and tried to find a place outside of the flow (there were hardly any). In addition: It would be nice to also have smaller dishes on the menu.

Very comfortable room with large bed and balcony and splendid ocean view. Staff was extremely friendly with great service.

I wish there would have been a USB port in my room. I had a little issue with the loo, but I have to say I forgot to tell the staff about it, and when I came back the problem was resolved. Hygiene was good except under the bed and the bathroom floor, which was 80% clean. Some scratches on the bathroom counter as well.

This is the best hotel in the city in terms of view. No doubt. To hear the sea at night is very relaxing, and you do hear it in this hotel. The food was good and the staff amiable.

The room had a problem with the shower and there were some events during the evenings with extremely loud music which was too much for the "sound proof" room to handle.

Amazing view to the Pacific Ocean, excellent and variegated buffet for breakfast, the swimming pool is quite big and also has an amazing view to the ocean.

Check-in at the reception not very welcome. Instead of "buen día" - "pasaporte!" You feel more like a supplicant instead of a guest. Employees, particulary at the reception, seem to be bored, like at a authority as we checked out. Breakfast quality is very poor and low for this price. Hotel all over and rooms need some renovation - bathroom, balcony, spa. Pool looks nice but water is dirty. You have to go through the lobby and restaurant to get there and back. Worst thing were announced (information sheet in the room) events in the hotel by the management. During two nights weekdays in a row it started from 10 pm. Until 3 am in the morning with very very loud live music, which was disturbing the peace all over the complete building. We could not sleep at all - even with closed windows.

Very close to the old town and the beach by foot. Room on the seventh floor with nice view to the sea and city. Comfortable beds. Save parking is very good.

Upon finding a hair embedded in our breakfast we had a dining room staff tell my fiance that the breakfast was self served,,,,,,a little etiquette in customer service can go a long, long way. On another occasion we needed to have my Fiance food warmed up (from another restaurant) and she ordered a coke and I ordered tea and dessert, but the coke was served in a plastic glass, people remember little details like that.

Breakfast was well organized, nice variety, staff was courteous and helpful, when I asked for a water heater they had one in the room.

Internet was not good in the rooms, the mini bar was empty, at this price range I expect more amenities like a coffee maker and complimentary bottle of water.

Everything excellent; premise, staff, breakfast. The only down issue is the price of the menu at the restaurant, 60% overpriced! I visited the top restauranr in town and the prices were much reasonables.

If you want a room with a balcony and ocean view this is the spot! Breakfast was also very good here. Location is right by the pedestrian street so perfect for walking at day or at night. Lovely pool which I did try. You can't get any closer to the ocean, and I went running on the boardwalk every morning. Main room very nicely done.

The setting of this hotel and restaurant were incredible! The ocean was almost lapping at your feet when we were in the restaurant. The food was excellent as well.

A stack of dirty plates was usually left outside our room. One of these stacks got larger over two days and wasn't cleared until we called someone. Our toilet was blocked most of the time. Our room wasn't cleaned until late one afternoon one day; again, this only happened because we had to ask for it. On our last day our food took an hour and a half to arrive. I had already walked and was ordering our taxi to the airport when the food finally arrived; in fairness, the restaurant agreed to cover the cost of the food, which was delicious. Still, this was pretty stressful, with a child in tow and with a flight to catch.

Our room had a spectacular sea view, as I believe all of the rooms do. The room was spacious. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The hotel's food was excellent. The location was great; just a short walk from Playa Cavancha.
