Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe kitchen needs maintenance, and can use an electric kettle for morning coffee runs.
We stayed here for five days. The property is quite cozy. Rooms are separate from the main building, which gives the rooms quite from the noise of other people cooking and chatting. The staff had smiles on their faces.

CanadaThe shared kitchen was very dirty. The guests tried their best to clean dishes and wipe up any messes etc., however the sink, stove-top, and floor require deep cleaning by staff regularly with clean sponges and towels provided daily to be functional for guests.
The vibe is very laid back, and a wonderful oasis in the desert! Our family enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere every afternoon after a day of exploring. The location is excellent, with several main attractions very close, and easy access to town a kilometer away. The pool, hammocks and outdoor eating areas were the definite highlights! We stayed a week and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax!

BrazilFew and poor condition kitchen utensils (pans, glasses, cutlery, coffee maker). Low wi-fi signal.
Big and refreshing pool. Pool area with many shaded areas and lots of hammocks to rest. It also has a barbecue structure. Great size and view of the room. Very quiet, ideal to rest after tours and sleep well to recover for next adventures. Ideal to be with kids. The host is very helpful.

Its very good place to stay bit far from the crowd and traffic in city centre. Location is perfect and the place is very quite and good for relaxing. Breakfast is not part of service but you have sufficient kitchen for making breakfast and have currasco facility for dinner with BBQ

ItalyIf you don't have a car, the accessibility of the place is not best, still anyway from a walkable distance from the center of San Pedro. If you have a car, absolutely no problem!
Amazing customer service, super kind and willing to help, even by phone! The place is quiet and the pool is very nice!

BelgiumWifi did not reach our cabaña. Also not all basic cooking utensils were available (oil, salt, towel, detergent). The good thing is that there was also a common kitchen where the missing pieces could be borrowed.

NetherlandsWhen we first arrived, the place looked a bit dirty and in need of upkeep. The pool was very dirty, as was the common area (kitchen). But, as the days went on, the area’s improved and it became a nicer stay for us. The kitchen needs an upgrade, it is old and run down. We felt that we had to wash the cutlery anf pans before using them, as everything was bit grimey. The rooms can also benefit from some upgrades, but are basic enough. There were no sunbeds by the pool, even though they are on the pictures. Upon arrival they told us the WIFI was only working in the common area. Luckily it did work a little bit in our room, but this could also be improved.
It was nice to have a pool. Also, behind the lodges is a little hill you can climb. The view of the mountains is amazing and we even went out one night to see the stars. The area is quite calm, which can be nice. The price is very reasonable. The staff is friendly and if you ask for help, they definitely will. There was also English support via Whatsapp, which was nice.

FranceThe common areas (kitchen/sun beds by the pool) could be a little bit more maintained and the experience would be perfect.
Alvaro is very nice, very present for his guests and very helpful. Communication was very easy. We got in touch before coming and he came to meet us to show us the way to the lodge. He also recommended his favorite places in San Pedro. Thank you Alvaro for the conversations and the tips! The lodge is nice, well located (on the outskirt of the town center if you don't have a car but it is within 15 mn walk which is fine), the property is big, plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy (barbecue area/nice swimming pool). It is very quiet and you can enjoy a beautiful sky at night. The rooms are fine and nicely decorated, consisting of small cabanas with a bathroom. Cleaning is done everyday. We would definitely come back. Good lodging for the price in San Pedro.Definitely the best in its category.

IrelandThe town is small enough so really most areas are walkable. However, Lodge Altitud is situated in a place that is very difficult for a vehicle to access due to roadworks with no clear signs. Many taxis refuse to drop you off at the accommodation due to the state of the temporary road that winds down across a dry riverbed to get there! Walk to town centre is only 10 minutes but you have to jump down a wall and then scramble up steps. Fine for us but I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone elderly or with bad knees/joints! Also, the apartment could do with mosquito nets! There are plenty around at night and we got bitten and kept awake with no protection!
the apartment was clean and quiet, the staff were nice and helpful, especially Jeanette. She gave us good advice on area. The property was nice and tranquil, with a nice common area and pool. A good place to relax and get peace.

Belgiumthe kitchen was not ik very good shape, if you are planning on cooking yourself you might need a better equipped kitchen. The lodges are about a 15 minute walk from the center, during the daytime this was no problem but during the night (11 pm it was scary to walk home and I would recommend taking a cab).
very nice host, cosy cabin. due to delays with our flights we arrived 1 day later but the owner was very u understanding and did not make us pay the full price.

GermanyIt’s a little bit outside of the city
There are little cabañas which are very comfy and the heater was all you needed at night. The owner is a very kind person and is doing everything he can do for his guest. His little dog is protecting the whole area with all his guests. He gave me a lot of recommendations for restaurants and agencies in San Pedro and they were very good! On a rest day it’s very good to sit in one of the hamacas directly at the to enjoy the sun. At night you can see so many stars and planets bc it’s a little bit outside of the city and bc of that it’s very calmly. If you are one of the lucky ones and the owner gives you a private stargazing, enjoy it! Thank you so much Alvaro!
