Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCalama! This city is basically there for the copper mines. It's a good connecting airport for Chile but for tourists / travellers it is not a place I would recommend. The city itself is filthy with rubbish stacked up on the streets and packs of street dogs roaming the place scavaging for food. There are hundred's if not thousands of red pickup trucks used by the minners and the night life is what you might expect from a location where you have thousands of miners living and working away from home for months at a time! Hop through here and head for San Pedro de Atacama - that town is fantastic :)
The Hotel was clean & comfortable. No issuses with room, bed, shower, breakfast, lifts, communial area, etc. Good secure car park. Wifi was OK. If I was in Calama again I would have no issues with staying here again.

United KingdomCalama is not a tourist location - unlikely that I would re-visit this place. It is a minning town and pretty much all the guests at the hotel were mine workers. Packs of dogs roam the streets and the place is filthy with piled up litter and poverty everywhere. At the time of our visit there was major road construction work along with mining activity everywhere. Nothing of interest to see.
This hotel was convenient for visiting Calama. It was clean and comfortable and had nice facilities and a good breakfast. Good shower in room and good air conditioning. Staff were helpful.

ItalyUnfortunately the wifi didn't work.
Really nice hotel and the staff was amazing too. We arrived around dinner time and had to leave at 10 am the day after. We usually have problems in Chile finding food since we're vegetarian and I'm also allergic to eggs but here they prepared us a really nice vegan dinner in a matter of 20 minutes and brought it to the room, and the next day we also got a vegetarian breakfast that was amazing. We also used their super quick laundry service and transfer to the airport. Really happy with this place!

United KingdomThis was our first hotel in Chile and the staff member who checked us in did not warn us that by paying in pesos we would be charged an extra 19%. If we’d had a choice we would have paid in US Dollars on credit card. Once we raised the issue, it took over 3 hours to get an answer from the manager, who did agree to allow us to eat free of charge in the restaurant but could not refund the money during our stay. Overall the hotel and the restaurant are not good value for money!
The rooms are comfy but very small. Once we got to speak to the manager she was polite and tried to help.

SpainTiny room for the price. Hobbits would find the bathroom too small. Front desk service was terrible. Breakfast was underwhelming. They charged me taxes despite being a tourist and presenting my PDI card. Very sketchy location during the night.
