There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and there were no bottles of water. This is the first hotel I have stayed in on holiday or for business that had no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Added to that there was no bar facilities in the hotel.

Breakfast should be served in dining room instead of crowded lobby area. Schedule for breakfast means nothing if there is a large tour group. Online pictures of breakfast do not correspond to reality. No a/c even in the ‘newer’ wing but a fan can be provided. Tour groups can overwhelm the hotel.

There was a nasty woman at the reception, trying to take a power trip… at breakfast the same woman rudely asking for room numbers and at checkout asking for already approved credit card receipts to be individually written, named and id numbers with persons’s handwriting as if she were doubtful of already provided full details … breakfast could be better in variety of cereals, etc… no nuts, coffee was tea like … no eggs or cheeses…

Very nice view of a nice river, full of wild birds , bird nests,… check in guy was nice and friendly. Room was nice and spacious, clean and pleasant. No elevator to second level.

Overall I'm very happy with our stay, but the continental breakfast could be improved.

We had a room with river and pool view on the second floor, the view was quite amazing. The location of the hotel is perfect if you have a car, easy to arrive and easy to drive back to the center of the city.

some rooms are located in the wing which is not visible on the picture, does not look attractive at all, the room was very basic and worn out, a hostel type, bear walls, no decoration. The location is on the river bank but on the street that gets very busy. and far from the city center, would not come back.

Two things: 1) we ended up paying the IVA even though we are not Chilean or foreign residents. We provided our passports and visas when we checked in. We thought that would be taken care of as a credit to our credit card, but that has not happened. 2) The rooms need screens for the windows. The outside air is nice at night, especially with the nearby river and foliage, but the unscreened windows allow mosquitos to enter if the windows are left open.

The rooms and the grounds were beautiful. Very quiet. The lawn area and path by the river was lovely. The buffet breakfast was very good and varied. The restaurant was also excellent.

No elevators for my senior parents. They didn’t accommodate the group as a family. we were put in two different buildings, one of them very updated with big rooms and the other with small rooms with a few issues.

Bar restaurante closes at 9, not really walking distance to downtown businesses. A little less friendly and welcoming than most places we've been in Chile.

Sound insulation was very poor, I could hear my neighbour on the phone. Both pools in the hotel looked quite dirty. Breakfast was outright mediocre. The service at the hotel restaurant could be greatly improved: our waiter disappeared several times because he was watching a football game!!

The hotel is right by the river, and you can get fantastic views from the deck and from the rooms. The staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant is okey for lunch. My room was luminous, spacious, and the area where we stayed had a delightful mid-century modern architecture that was very well preserved.

it doesn’t have air conditioning (and the room was really hot) and they don’t provide you with shampoo and hair conditioner. Some things need to be fixed or changed, such as the curtains and bed stands. It is too overpriced.

Because of the Todos los Santos holiday, the dining room was closed the first 2 nights of the stay. Valdivia does not offer much in the way of good dining so we were forced to get by on restobar type food. Only other slight discomfort of the hotel was the room temperature. There is no individual control and the only way to cool down is to sleep with terrace door open. Anyone going to Valdivia looking for fine dining with a view and exceptional service, try Fishcarraldo on the road to Niebla. It was the highlight of the 4 days in the area.

Breakfast good, but nothing special. Same thing every morning. Staff super! The location is probably the best feature of the Hotel. Right on the Rio Valdivia. Although it was not the right weather, they offer a beautiful terrace with a covering and sofas and tables during the summer season. A great spot for morning coffee or afternoon drink.

Not enough tables for breakfast service, coffee very limited! Slow service, difficult front desk staff. The pictures made it seem much nicer than it was. No refrigerator, although it said there was one in the room.

The staff was pleasant, outdoor area was nice and peaceful along the river.

Last minute booking ( same day ) was stuck with rate to last rooms...a kind of a suite. Room Ok. Staff did not placed luggage in rooms as it was promised. Had to ask and appeared to be a "pain for them" Asked for a fan "we have 3" never confirmed back if it was available. Asking for some change, was told to go across street in shop. Not worth $ 200. I guess supply and demand.

It was like a bad motel 6, stuck in the 80s. Bad smelly and probably moldy carpet, lousy bed where you could feel the springs. This placed is priced like a 4 star hotel which it is woefully not, maybe a 2 star at best. Generally the service staff was kind and helpful. The front desk lady couldn’t bother to say hello or thank you and bordered on rude, she barely lifted her head when we walked in the lobby. The restaurant was completely closed. This place could be magnificent if they bothered to reinvest the exhorbitant amount of money that was charged, back into the hotel and into training.

The location on the river was beautiful. Peaceful, quiet. There was a boat yard away, which was sort of charming.
