Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaCan’t say anything negative about the property, just maybe worth mentioning that it is a bit far from the town.
The entire property is an oasis of tranquility. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helped us with every single question or problem we had. Some of our initial plans had to change and impacted the overall itinerary, but Alex helped us find solutions.

United Kingdomeverything and everyone we met there. Super relaxing after full on days exploring.
Great hideaway, lovely friendly English speaking staff. Great food. Relaxed, be aware it’s a little out of San Pedro, but that was great for us with a hire car.

AustraliaStaff: Alex (host) and his team are fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. Alex goes out of his way to make you feel very comfortable and ensures that you really enjoy your stay. He even helped us book our transfers and helped with our tours. Hotel: The hotel is in a very quiet location. It is beautiful and has lots of greenery and a very calming feeling when you're there. There's a nice area to sit by a fireplace and enjoy a drink, or you can hop into a hammock and do some stargazing. There's also a nice pool to jump into when it gets hot during the day. Room: Super comfortable bed. Room has a fridge which they provide filtered water in. Bathroom is great, fantastic shower. Much needed after a hot day in the desert. There's wifi everywhere so you'll be able to keep up to date on everything internet related. Food: Hotel booking includes buffet breakfast. Really good spread including fresh fruits and produce from the trees in the hotel. They even Cook fresh eggs for you, perfect fried eggs. You can also have dinner if you like to. Location: The hotel is about 3kms from the centre of San Pedro de Atacama. Alex runs a free shuttle service to and from town so it's super easy to get there and back and nice to be away from the noise in the centre. It's super peaceful and relaxing.

IrelandHonestly nothing. Some might say dinner is a bit pricey, but for an 8 room hotel of course you will pay a little more, and the top quality food is worth every penny. We had a rental car, as it’s 5-10 minute drive from the centre. No big deal, it could be walked or biked but it’s a bit isolated (that’s what’s so great about it!) and we were glad to have the car. From searching on google I thought that parking in the town would be complicated but it’s not at all, it’s really easy to find parking - the information I read was wrong!
Hotel Naturalis is so special! We would stay here again for sure. Alex and the team’s hospitality is just amazing, they were there to advise us any time night and day and always with a sense of kindness beyond words. The hotel itself is magical. Only 8 rooms, and each room is its own little hut, it’s the ultimate boutique hotel! The bedroom was large, with storage, a minibar and a spacious bathroom, with great high pressure shower. The cleaning standards are amazing - everything was spotless and the cleaning staff tidied our room as well as cleaning it, we haven’t seen that before. The groundskeepers do an amazing job of keeping the grounds and pool absolutely perfect. It’s like staying in a magic garden in the desert! Breakfast was perfect (a buffet of things like fruits, yogurt, cheeses, meats, cereals, juices, cakes and freshly cooked eggs) and we ate dinner there 3 nights and the food was excellent. We went on the stargazing tour recommended by Alex and it was incredible, shuttle bus picked us up but the location was just a 5 minute drive from our place. The fire area is magical and the 24 hour tea/coffee station was a really nice touch. It’s totally silent at night here and the views of the stars are amazing. Thanks so much Alex and team for an amazing experience! - Keeva + Richie from Ireland!

United States of AmericaNothing! All was well
This hotel is amazing. It's super quaint and relaxing, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the staff is super friendly. They even went out of their way to prepare my Fiance & I lunch earlier than they normally do because they knew I wasn't feeling my best! I really couldn't recommend this place enough. I would recommend renting a car if you do plan to stay here, as it is a bit of a ways from the town. But that is part of the quiet feel!

South AfricaAbsolutely nothing comes to mind. Would have loved to stay a few days longer!
A tranquil oasis in a quiet neighborhood of town with beautiful rooms, facilities and pool, great food and excellent, friendly and helpful service. We much enjoyed the breakfast buffet with emphasis on home-made fare (granola, breads, jams, yoghurt, even kefir!) and local products as well as the excellent 3-course dinners which were plentiful, varied and very delicious. Whenever we needed assistance or had questions, we were helped with a smile and the greatest pleasure. Rooms were in top condition, tastefully furnished and decorated and immaculately clean. When needed for very early excursions we were given breakfast snacks and for lunch there was the possibility of ordering a delicious lunch in a box. A wonderful place which we can highly recommend to stay while discovering all the beautiful sights of the area!

The hosts were also some of the kindest you’ll ever meet and went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you are planning to go to San Pedro!

The communal areas offer a pleasant space for complimentary drinks and conversations. The restaurant provides excellent and reasonably priced food with a good wine selection. United KingdomEverything was excellent.
Beautifully designed and managed. Calm, peaceful and super welcoming. Rooms and shared spaces delightful with lots of thoughtful touches and great decor. Shady trees and flowers - bringing lots of bird life. The breakfast was the best we’d had in a month long trip, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner (with vegetarian options) at the hotel twice during our stay. The level of hospitality was exceptional: nothing was too much trouble and we were offered lots of insightful advice regarding what to see and do. Thank you to Alex and team for all your work and kindness. And to Paulo too. You have created a special, tranquil place - just minutes from the bustle and heat of San Pedro. Thank you!
