Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Maria is a kind, attentive host and very helpful for everything. The apartment is about a ten minute pleasant walk to the city center. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet, and safe. A wonderful place. We loved it.

Excellent location within a walking distance from the center/shops/restaurants/cafes, but still quiet at night and 1 min from the ocean where you can walk on the beach. We were welcomed with delicious chocolate muffins. The lady who owns the place is absolutely lovely - super friendly and welcoming, gave us her WhatsApp if we had questions. Bed is comfy, place is clean and has a large window. Exactly as advertised. Very safe, properly locks with a gate. Punta arenas is generally very safe.

You couldn’t pet the cute dog-the dog doesn’t like being petted :(((
It is so clean and walking distance from the bus station just a great experience!!! I loved this place!!! Simple-super clean-just a great stay.

Might have been nice to have breakfast included as an option.
There are 3 suites or cabanas and we were in the last one, #3 and that allowed privacy which we appreciated. Nice and quiet, walk to water for walking and town for restaurants and Bus Sur. Comfortable big bed.

Nice, clean and calm apartment close to the seaside. No street noises. Super friendly and flexible hosts, great communication before, easy check-in. Free parking directly in front of the main building. We event got two tasty muffins as a nice welcome surprise :)

Our Host Isabelle was fantastic. She is sweet, warm and super helpful with ideas on things to see and great places to eat. She even arranged a taxi for us the day we left. Our room was perfect for our needs. It was decorated beautifully and had all the amenities. We would stay with her again anytime! Thank you so much, Isabelle!!

Lovely little cabin. Heating was controllable and warmed up very quickly. Lovely hot powerful shower. Little kitchenette. Really nice and staff great too, very kind. Clean, good size and good value. Near beach and couple minutes walk to town. Would book again most definitely

Great value. Very comfy bed and very effective heating. About a 10-15 min walk along the nice seafront to the centre. Just like the pictures. Enjoyed our stay.

Extremely clean, private. Very cute space! Easy to access and the host was very responsive and friendly. Only stayed for one night but would’ve absolutely stayed longer had we found it earlier in our stay. Great location as well. We found an awesome restaurant right around the corner - Luan’s Restaurant, a Colombian spot. Delicious.

There is no microwave only a small oven (up to 250°C) and it is not clear whether the dishes provided can withstand the heat. No toaster.
You still get the famous muffins. Great! Good location, you can walk to the city center and also to the Bus Sur station. Parking in front of the house. Good shower. The property is close to a major road, but there is no disturbing noise since the rooms are in a sort of backyard setting.

The owner was super helpful and.provided all the info I needed to help set me off on my adventure. It was basically a little cabin I was in, very clean, big bed, lots of pillows. Loved that I had a fridge, kettle, silverware and cups to use. Amazing place and right off the water too!

We were disappointed that we couldn’t cook our own meal. But facilities allow tea and coffee making and heating up ore cooked food.
Lovely compact place. Perfect for a short stay in Punta Arenas. Close to the sea and the promenade, walking distance to the town.

Room is an independent structure within the property, newly built and beautifully decorated. Bed was a a super king with very nice and clean bedding. Shower was excellent. Kitchenette in the room. Breakfast not included. Good heating in the room. The owner was very nice, eager to help us with directions and transportation. Centrally located, right by the beach.
