The kitchenette was tiny and had no tea towel or detergent and was not really suited to prepare any meal. But that is just a minor issue, we loved the place

The bathroom wasn't in-suite but just outside the door. Not a big problem though.

We had a great stay at the place. The location is just a 10-min walk away from Cerro Alegro and all the touristy places. The place has a lovely outdoor space that is beautifully landscaped and full of flowers and plants. The view of the harbor is beautiful. The room was comfortable and tidy. The breakfast served was just great - a nice spread of fruits, juice, toast, eggs, avocado, cheese etc. We enjoyed it. The host is very friendly and helpful and suggested a few places to eat etc. We could park our car and just walk to all the places. There is a great Italian restaurant just minutes from the place. Hope to be back soon :)

The room was beautiful, the bed was confortable and the views over the city and the port were breathtaking. The location was good and quiet, thus a little far from most of the attractions of the city. We enjoyed the breakfast and the garden. The staff went above and beyond to help us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Faro Azul and felt right at home thanks to Paulina, who was really welcoming and helpful. The entire property was very clean and in a very good shape with nice possibilities to sit and enjoy the amazing view. For us the location was very good, easy to walk to the center (15 minutes) and at the same time nice and quiet with amazing views. After dinner we took a Taxi back (also nice because you don’t have to walk uphill) and it only cost us 2000 CLP. There is free parking on the property. Breakfast was also really good with fresh fruit and scrambled egg.

it was very noisy at night - dogs barking constantly, party nearby and there is no sound prof system in the hotel. impossible to sleep without earplugs.

My husband and I stayed in bungalow #10 for 5 nights and loved it! The hostal has a big house with 9 bedrooms and 2 detached bungalows. Our bungalow was like a studio: one big room with a queen bed, TV, sofa with table and a small kitchenette (plus the bathroom, of course, with hot water that never ends). There is a two burner stovetop, sink, a few plates/glasses/utensils and an electric kettle. No refrigerator or other appliances. But the great thing is you can borrow whatever else you need from the big house. The bed and pillows were the most soft and comfortable in all our Chile stays so far. Paulina is a perfect hostess and made us breakfast every morning as well as helped us with EVERYTHING we requested. Breakfast was coffee, fruit, bread, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, juice and avocado- so plentiful! We used the outdoor gas grill one night too. The yard/garden is beautifully manicured and has many seating spaces to relax and watch sunset. The big house and bungalows each have their own patios with furniture too. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. There is a great pizza place only steps from the hostal and also a mini market. The parking was free and inside the locked gate, so it felt very secure. Out of all the great things about this hostal, Paulina really is the best. She was so generous, always smiling and helpful (even though our Spanish is very bad). I would love to stay here again one day.

Perhaps the sound isolation and the view from the bungalow, too much covered by trees just in front.

This was a gem in middle Valparaiso. Perhaps not closer to many restaurants and bars, but that makes it really peaceful. The bungalow was perfect, well equipped, although the view was covered by trees... anyway you can walk a few steps and the view from the shared terrace is great! The personnel was very attentive.
