We had a nice stay, however, there were a few drawbacks that affected my overall experience. Firstly, our room on the first floor faced the patio, which unfortunately led to excessive noise until midnight every day. This made it challenging to get a good night's sleep, especially for those who prefer a quieter environment. Another issue was the outside sitting area doubling as a smoking zone. This meant that if you wanted to keep your room well-ventilated, you had to endure the smell of smoke wafting in from below. This was not an ideal situation for non-smokers. Furthermore, the drainage in the shower was only partially functional, resulting in a semi-clogged state. This meant that while taking a shower, you had to be cautious not to wet the floor outside or face the inconvenience of stopping midway to prevent flooding. One peculiar observation during my stay was the labeling of items left in the kitchen by departing backpackers as "for free." It is common practice in hostels for guests to leave behind usable items for others to enjoy. However, it was disappointing to see that every day after noon, the non-crappy items were labeled as "staff" and promptly collected, depriving guests of the opportunity to benefit from these shared resources.

The top bunk was hard to access with only one place to put your foot.

A really relaxed, young hostel. The main living area was comfortable with sofa, armchairs and a large table. The kitchen was big and had a great system of food - a crate each for all your non fridge things and a good labelling system for fridge food (and lots of fridge space). The bedroom was spacious, comfortable with useful locker, it was easy to sleep well there. There was a helpful board with local buses and info on things to do making travelling and exploring there easy.

The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen and social area were clean, big and you even had your own food locker! The WiFi was good and the staff was super friendly. Oh, and the roof-terrasse as well as the location right by a small park and with view on the volcano was awesome. I stayed for 6 nights and would've loved to stay longer!

I think the worst I can say about this place was my pillows were too soft. 😂

Very conveniently located... Pucón is small, but still.. 5 minutes to the bus station makes this easy to get to/from. Staff was welcoming and friendly. And they seemed to always be cleaning something! The place was meticulously clean. Very comfortable bed in the double room. There's a wood fire stove heated living room and a lot of guests congregate there in the evening. Not a complaint, but this means it might be a little loud from 10-midnight. Everybody was very respectful of the midnight quiet hours though. Just sort of a heads up to other guests with earlier bedtimes.

Not having a locker in the room. Theft can de-rail a trip so quickly lockers really should be available and asking reception to watch your belongings is inconvenient and annoying for both parties. Also more hooks to hang towels/jackets in the rooms would be nice.

Rianne and Will are extremely friendly and creating an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. They gave me so much helpful information of all the things I could do in Pucón and even arranged that I last minute could join the vulcano expedition. They also have great kitchen facilities and the hostel is really clean. Great place to stay!
