Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Was difficult to find at first, but the door man was helpful!
Clean and cute apartment. Rosa was super nice & gave us a lot of information on Barcelona and things to do.

Metro is not so close but you can take bus to centre. And air conditioner had no controller.
Room was clean. Staff is very helpful. Room was spacious.

Very welcoming and flexible. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable had very good sleep. Almospheric building and old lift. Good value for Barcelona. 15 mins walk from La Pedrera - Casa Mila.

I like the quiet neighbourhood and close to local. Bus stops are just nearby, can easily hop onto a bus to la Rambla in 15 min. Host is lovely and helpful

It's very noisy from the street and it's not ok to sleep. Luckily we had earplugs.
The location is good, the staff is friendly, it was clean.

what I didn’t like was that I needed to pay for a drink and a snack from the fridge inside my room but it’s understandable. other than that, i was happy with my stay.
The person who attended me was friendly, he welcomed me and gave me a good tour. what I liked was that there was a few restaurants around the place which was really helpful, I didn’t need to get a Uber all the time. loved the bathroom as well

The bathroom was a little bit small.
The owners are very nice and helpful and would do everything to make you enjoy your stay to the fullest. The apartment is cleaned everyday and the position is quite strategic (even if not super central).

We are very satisfied with the accommodation and the staff. They were extremely helpful and gave us very thorough information about Barcelona, what to look out for and what to try. Our room was cleaned every day so we always had a clean room to return to in the evening. The location of our accommodation was very good, half a minute walk from the bus stop, so we could easily get anywhere by public transport. Our accommodation was also very reasonably priced, one of the cheapest rooms in Barcelona! Overall, we were completely satisfied with everything, we can only recommend the accommodation!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, very attentive staff, they will tell and show you everything you want. You can order breakfast in the room. The hotel's location itself is very convenient, with a lot of things within walking distance. It's not a downside, but for some, it might not be suitable – we booked a room with an external bathroom, and there's only a sink in the room itself, but we were quite comfortable with it (you can use the bathroom only yourselves, it's just outside the room). Also, you can ask them to look after your belongings for a while after checkout. The service is excellent. The price/quality ratio is simply outstanding

Had to catch a bus when we wanted to go into the gothic district, but the area of the hotel is very nice and safe

Mattress too soft, the body sinks into it. The toilet worked with a system that uses a motor, so every time you flush it, it wil start with a loud noise for some minutes. There was a stinky smell coming from the bathroom.
Extremely friendly staff. Clean bedsheets and towels. Good location. Air conditioning functioning well.
