It’s in a beautiful setting easy walk into Bridge of Allan and the university campus had a shop. There was a very frequent bus so could get to Stirling with no bother at all. I only gave a 9/10 as the rooms were looking a bit tired but really nothing wrong. The staff were exceptional. Really helpful and had local knowledge which isn’t always the case in hotels these days. We were guided to a really good Italian restaurant in Bridge of Allan and there was a traditional restaurant en route.

The Stirling Hotel is our first choice when stopping over night when travelling from the south coast back to Aberdeenshire. The hotel is in a lovely location, rooms are great and breakfast is delicious.

Room was small. There was fighting and police on seen when we arrived. Breakfast the bacon is n the 1st morning was green in parts and should not have been out.

Lights that automatically come on when you go in the bathroom are a nightmare. Why have toilet flush buttons behind the seat lid? Light bulbs took an age to come on - at first I thought they weren't working. Noise from fire doors in corridor loud enough to disturb sleep.

The location was perfect for my trip. Pleasant room. Comfortable bed. Bonus being able to use the University pool.

The bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in and gave me and my wife a sore back hip and shoulder. Also I would return in the future to dine at the hotel but to pay for parking in addition to the meal would put me off. If non residents are not encouraged to dine a potentially lucrative revenue stream is being missed especially given the quality of food on offer. The flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling is also an easily rectified fault but gives a run down impression, not enough for me to ask for another room but I would have expected the room to be out of use until it was painted as this would be no more than 24 hours.

Shower heads were a bit of a nightmare - one kept falling off and other was almost impossible to turn on it was so tight. Chose the hotel because we looked at Menu for Dinner online and there was something suitable for our son who has Downs Syndrome but when we went for dinner we discovered it wasn't available but the chef kindly made something for him so that was great. It is important to have Menus online up-to-date.

Breakfast very good and location good. Room was very clean and was very helpful to have adjoining rooms as we have a disabled son.

The only thing that I'd like to see change was the need to add my car registration to both the check in form and the iPad, but that's it.

The room was a lovely temperature and spotless. The shower was powerful and felt genuinely at ease. Check in was straight forward.
