Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaElectrical outlets for charging devices were very few. 220 outlets were round and did not work with converters that were rectangular.
The location was good and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and museums.

GreeceThey should change the doors to the bathrooms and put real ones in order to have more privacy. It would also be a good idea to offer to the customers one-use slippers.
Clean. Bathroom ok. Beds ok. Nice price. I liked the paintings on the wall. Tv and aircondition ok. Many and clean bathtowels. The personell in the reception was fine. The process with booking and paying was easy and without problems.

United KingdomOur room was quite bland , it could do with some art work in the large wall, tea and coffee facilities were in the room , always a nice touch though we did buy milk from the supermarket. It was probably available from reception we just didn’t ask
Breakfast room was clean with adequate space between tables. The buffet was laid out well with tea and coffee available all day which was a bonus. The twin beds were super comfy with extra blankets in the wardrobe.

The bed and room was excellent. No noise at all. Breakfast was very good. And the staff were very helpful. Enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute relaxed walk to city centre.

NetherlandsThe building is not very well maintained, not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. A lot of small things broken (in the room and the building). Swimming pool very small. The neighbourhood is bad (some side streets have people sleeping on the sidewalk, people looking through the trash and even prostitutes). The big streets are better, but you will meet some strange characters. If you're with only men no problem. Family with kids: this is a big issue. You can solve this by just ordering taxis from the hotel and not wander outside in the evening.
"Beautiful building, nice big room (family room) with very big balcony Staff very friendly and fast to help Metro Omonia 6 minutes walk (but if you're with 4 people like us just take a taxi - they're very cheap - make sure they put the meter on)" Some advice: Acropolis - If you are from the EU and have kids with you their tickets are free. I found no better solution than just go to the register early in the morning because you have to show proof (passports) to get the free ticket (well, you could buy them skip the line tickets but this sets you back like 44 euros). Early in the morning means be there at 0730 at the latest, have one person stand in the line for tickets and one for entrance. Worked for us. You get a relatively relaxed experience of the parthenon and acropolis if you go there first (keep walking until you reach the top) and you will arrive there ahead of the crowds at around 0810. From 0845 you will not believe how many people will surge in to make the experience less than great. We left around that time after enjoying the views for half an hour (used the main entrance)

IrelandCould not see the point of having such a tiny pool in the hotel. Space would be better used as breakfast/ bar area.

AustraliaUnfortunate stay for me. First room I stayed in had a cockroach which when I came down and requested assistance led to a sincere apology and a change in room (they had excellent customer service). Following the heavy rains of that day however I discovered the roof had a small slow leak in the new room. Ultimately not a comfortable stay because of these two things. Breakfast was quite nice - plenty of food options available!

AustraliaThe main problem for the hotel is the area - I booked it because it seemed close to all the interesting places in Athens. It is close to the city centre, but the neighborhood is quite scary for a parent with children. I saw sex workers and people selling drugs on the streets around the hotel.
The staff are the best thing about this hotel. So friendly and helpful and welcoming. They helped me get taxis and find my way around Athens and to Piraeus.

FranceThe floor was obviously not cleaned. There was a hole in the door of the toilets. We were in the "renovated side" of the hotel but it looked like as if it was unfinished. The grand piano in the main hall does not work !
The venue: near Omonia square and Archeological museum. The nice breakfast. The effectiveness of the employees and staff members.
