Visiting the hotel was a unique experience, the architects kept the style of the monastery but at the same time they added a touch of the modern hint to the accommodation . The food was great, the hotel staff were really nice and helpful. The surrounding of the place is calming and helps the visitors to calm their mind.

The suite was spacious and designed in a restrained style befitting the past of the building that was used as a monastery. The corridors and the dining room are very beautiful. The location is very beautiful and it is a special experience to be there.

The breakfast had limited selections on one day, but maybe that’s because I arrived near the end. The next day was good. It lacks healthy options like whole wheat bread, but there were some fruits and veggies (tomatoes, peppers, grapes, plums) and also plain, unsweetened yogurt.

The staff were amazing! Very kind and helpful, even when faced with either an embarrassing situation, or when letting me stay an extra few minutes for dinner since I slept in. The renovation work is great! It’s comfortable but also still looks like a monastery. I did the Audio Tour and it was well put together. Dining room is beautiful. The location is very nice. The surroundings include a forest trail (though signs were in Hungarian, so I couldn’t figure out where to go once the path split). There’s a little grocery store a short walk away, and a cat café (food is not that special, but the cats are v cute and the smoothies good) Bus connection to train station is good (once every hour? But only about 10 min ride)

A historic and beautifully renovated monastery in a scenic location. The reception and wait staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food for dinner and the buffet breakfast was excellent with freshly made eggs on request. Highly recommended!!

Sketchy internet in the rooms, the fact that dinner was a self serve buffet (rather than Ala carte) in the high end dining room was our biggest disappointment. Nevertheless, it was a good value and a totally unique experience and well worth it. Our standout stay in Hungary.

Unique property, atmospheric, beautiful, large bedroom, good tub, lovely grounds and interior garden. nice waitstaff that were enthusiastic about the wine, wonderful history and the audio guide was a great way to educate us. Good short hikes nearby. We arrived on bikes and they had good ebike storage and charging stations.
