The food was divine too, as was the pool and small beach area. but best of all the team at Segara was just lovely, so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. can’t recommend this place enough if you’re a place to relax and recharge - perfect!

For the price of staying here, it exceeded our expectations.

We spent 9 nights here with our 6 yr old and 2 yr old, and it totally exceeded our expectations. We had great plans of exploring from here, but we were so happy and comfortable at the resort that we left twice only for the whole stay. We were blown away by how beautiful the room and ground were. All the fine details, like the lovely stone walls, built by the French owner. The bougainvillea growing everywhere, the lovely rooms, the gorgeous decor, fresh floating flower arrangements at reception every morning, sea-green matt pool tiles with gold grout, if you like aesthetic touches you will love it here. So many reviews mentioned the coral beach, so we were surprised to find a lovely beach, with sand of a larger grain, more like uncooked quinoa. The beach is fine for swimming if you're used to being in the sea, from about mid tide it's good, and we did laps most days. At low tide our kids spent hours walking over the exposed rocks, looking for critters in pools. The food was excellent and affordable, we ate next door at Boni Beach a few times, but it was so easy and comfortable at Segara with our toddler, that we mostly ate there, and our kids nearly lived on the smoothies. When the break out front was working, there were surfers in the loungers closer to the beach, but they were also paying customers at the restaurant, so on those days we stayed by the pool, which was guest only, and we appreciated that a lot. The staff were so great, one of the highlights of our stay, they really made us feel at home, and were so generous and kind with our kids. We stayed in a superior room with the sofa bed and an extra mattress that we put down at night, which was lovely of course, but on arrival we regretted not upgrading to the beachfront rooms, because while a little smaller inside, the kids could have played on the sand out front, and the balconies are much bigger. If you're not sure, I'd say upgrade! Definitely worth it.

Everything! Room, atmosphere, it is quiet and relaxing but you can also surf and do other activities, you have a private beach and you can swim in the ocean when there is high tide, you can enjoy a very tasty food, a wonderful swimming pool and the communication with the staff is really good!

My family had a relaxed and lovely time for 2 nights.Rooms are beautiful, clean and the setting is perfect. Especially food at the restaurant is very good and staff is incredibly friendly. My kids enjoyed playing chess everyday at restaurant! and free transport nearby Selong Belanak beach was helpful and we took surf lesson there. Very highly recommended!

The Staff is so nice and welcoming that our stay was really wonderful. We loved the food from the restaurant, we loved the pool and the location by the beautiful and large beach. The rooms are really nice and clean although they are rather small inside but who stays in the room in such a beautiful place! I would love to come back some day :)

Wonderful, groomed, small hotel within a fantastic garden and pool. The atmosphere in the hotel was quite familiar not least because of the very warm and courteous staff taking care of the guests wellbeing at any time! One highlight was the culture & nature trip to the midst of the island experiencing some spectacular waterfalls and transitional handcraft and living of Lombok!

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.

Our stay at Segara Lombok was absolutely phenomenal. The beach facing bungalow was exquisite. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was idyllic. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and the restaurant food was delicious and fresh. Breakfast is a la carte options which are all wonderful and tasty. Room has a very powerful air conditioner and a fan which kept us cool in the evenings. We loved the outdoor bathroom with organic toiletries. 10/10 in ALL aspects! Would highly recommend for families with young children as the venue is safe and secure and very child friendly. Staff are incredible!

The location is quite far from the closest village, however we had a scooter and this was not a problem. The advantage is quite and relaxing landscape around. Only 7–10 min by scooter to Selong Belanak.

Amazing location by the beach, with superb view over sea and green coast. Bungalow was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful outside bathroom. Lovely restaurant and pool area. The staff is great and one of the best things in Segara Lombok, always smiling, always helpful.

There was nothing we didn’t like!

We loved everything! The attention to detail was exceptional whilst still maintaining a laid back, calming atmosphere. The staff were amazing! Super friendly and welcoming. Little touches like remembering our names and favourite drinks etc made us feel very special. The resort itself is beautiful, fairly quiet, so perfect for couples but it also has a great surf break out the front which was popular with the surfers! Loved the outdoor bathrooms and the food was delicious! (We also got engaged during our stay here, so now we have an excuse to keep coming back!)

Not good for taking a swim in the sea despite very close, neither for taking a walk on the beach as the sand is too much corals. However free shuttle service (10 min) to fantastic beach closeby!

Having to leave!

We were travelling with our 20 month old! What a little paradise in the middle of nowhere!!! Beautiful, easy, comfortable and personalised service too! Must mention Muss! What a delight seeing him everyday. My baby loved him (so did my wife!)… I was emotional saying goodbye to such a lovely person!!!! We will return for sure!!!

We came back here for couple of nights after staying at this hotel a year ago because we really liked it the first time. A good choice, especially with a kid (our daughter is 2,5 and Segara offers a perfect combination of space to run but somehow always stay visible). The owner, Morgan, is very helpful and takes care of the guests. The team is wonderful. The food is good. The rooms aren’t big but are comfi and spotless. The sunsets are amazing. Good vibe. Also we noticed how the area developed in just a year time - so you now have some more options to “go out” for a nice cocktail or eat elsewhere (if you stay many nights this option to change the scene is welcome). In general, highly recommended for the value/price if you are looking for something authentic looking and on the beach

Nice laid back resort right on the beach. Very good restaurant, excellent place to relax for few days. Nice villa with an ocean view and a beutiful "outdoor" bathroom. A surf break just a couple of hundred meters down the beach.
