Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaThe room was on the 1st floor so there were some noises from the street outside. I couldn't find how to open the window blinds so the room was pretty dark. Also private parking is available only from the check in time, so if you arrive early there is noone to let you in and you have to park on the street.
The host Mario was very helpful, he wrote us on WhatsApp to know our arrival details. Property has shared kitchen and a nice garden for morning coffee. Our room was specious as well as the private bathroom. They let us leave our car in private parking for additional time with no fee after the checkout.

United States of AmericaTo get there was a little bit of an adventure as we came in on the train and then took tram to area close. But then had to walk a good ways with luggage. So really using a taxi was the best option but did cost more. However they did help us get a taxis which was a little crazy with a taxi strike and all... so their help was greatly appreciated.
First and foremost the best part was getting to know Domenico. He was so helpful and really gave us some great information on where to go and things to do. All his suggestions were right on and a real blessing. The little kitchen area was nice so there was a place to go read my Bible without waking up the others in our room. Really did feel like we were in a small Italian town.

United States of AmericaCramped, thin mattress
Balcony over an orange tree is nice for dining and drying laundry. It's a straight walk down to Florence center and fairly close to the T2 (airport) tram at Ponte d'Asse

AustraliaPricey considering the location and facilities. Clean place, friendly and helpful staff but the house or room didn’t have much charm.

AustraliaThe property was quite expensive for what you paid for, and also about a 25 minute walk from the main areas of Florence.
The property was nice and clean, it had good facilities for shared bathroom, with two toilets and showers to access. The bedroom was quite large, with a reasonable bed. The owner was lovely and very welcoming.

United KingdomBeing an old building, soundproofing was not great. We could hear doors opening and closing and people talking in the next room.
Host was lovely and very helpful, he gave us some good recommendations on restaurants and travel. The accommodation was a very short tram ride from the centre which was very convenient. There was a supermarket nearby and a well equipped kitchen area meaning we could have food there. The terrace area was lovely for a lazy morning.

SpainCommunication with the city center by tram or bus is not a highlight, and it's better to go walking, but it is a bit far after all day walking Firenze streets.
The host was really nice, the place was clean and the noise isolation was good. Also, the shower was great and the hairdryer provided was nice so kinda felt like home.

ItalyThe bnb is in a really good location near the bus stop. The owner is extremely helpful and the place is beautiful. The only downside is that you won't have your own washroom but there are two shared washrooms. They also have a beautiful shared kitchen you can use

RussiaThe doors are quite noisy and there are not so many places for towels in the toilet.
Close to the train station (Stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella), about 20 minutes by walk (there also faster ways by bus) You can use the kitchen and make coffee in the coffee machine. Also possible to take a bike, but you need to make a deposit in the amount of 150 euros.

RomaniaThe window from our room was facing the street which was extremely noisy even at night. The bathroom had no hooks to hang your towel, which would be easy to add. The doors were noisy. It's a bit overpriced.
It was nice that there is a kitchen, coffee/tea, along with the outside patio from the kitchen.

NetherlandsIt was quite noisy because of the door. You can hear the other guests if they are calling in their room. There were some problems with the warming of the shower warming during the last days of our stay.
The owners were nice. The accommodation is close to the tram to the centre and the kitchen and garden were nice as well. There is also a supermarket nearby as well as restaurants and shops.

SpainThe room was rather dark. The wall outlets were all the in-line, three-pronged Italian-style outlets, and not the standard European (Schuko) ones.
Friendly staff, good location, super clean. Large room with a large bathroom. The place has all the basics to make the stay a comfortable one. The city tax is included in the price, so there's no need to pay it apart.

You get here what ordinary standard hotels aren’t able to offer - the spirit and beauty of florencian houses, so go for it. It’s just 5 minutes by tram + 3 minutes walk from central train station and has really good price to value ratio. Having breakfast or late tea in their patio is priceless
