Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaYou have to play 100yen per 2 hours in 100yen coins for the AC. The bedding felt humid when we laid it out. 1 out of 3 blankets had an odor. The shower had a lot of mold. The other resident or owner left her things in the bathroom and VERY LOUDLY stomped and slammed the shower door at 345 am for over 45 minutes until I got up and went to see what she could possibly be doing.
The location is very convenient and the price is more than fair.

AustraliaUnfortunately the bedding was so thin and it was rock hard to sleep. The pillows were horrible thin and hard too. There was lots of noise from kokusai street- people drinking and being super loud screaming etc- not the property’s fault but that’s what happens when you get so close to a street like that.
The staff were amazing. Letting us leave our luggage and then kindly putting it up the stairs in our room. The location was great with just a few steps to the kokusai street.

Czech RepublicThe room was completely full of tatami bugs, sometimes making my feet itch profusely at 2 am, causing me to utter profanities to myself in utter despair at the fact I couldn't do anything about it. The paid AC is one thing, as much as I think that doing it in a way where it's free at night would make more sense. My hotel in Nago did it that way. But, say you want to pay for a whole night's worth of AC anyway. You can't. The hours don't stack up, the more 100-yen coins you put in. I think that, during the week+ I stayed here, I got maybe 2 good night's worth of sleep. The rest were sweaty, sticky, itchy and full of my body waking me up at 3 am.
The location is great, and for the price of a hostel, you definitely do get a decently sized room. The washing machines were free, there was a shared fridge as well. There are free towels (though with no obvious mechanism to get new ones after putting them in the used towel basket).

JapanThe cushion was a bit thin. And I wanted one more blanket.
Small but clean and comfortable room. Facilities like microwave, kettle, and refrigerator were also clean and useful. There were various selections of restaurants and shops in walking distance.

Argentinayou had to pay to use the air conditioning and the card lasted only two hours, you couldn't sleep in a row because the air conditioning would wake you up, in a place where you suffocated from the heat and confinement
