Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaThe hotel price included with breakfast but I cannot eat breakfast because it's a fasting month. I want to put the food in the food container so that I can eat later but the food cannot bring outside and must eat at the dine area within that breakfast time. It is quite a waste of money for the breakfast fee charge.
The location is located at the strategic area, near to the train station, so it is easier to those who are travelling with more/big size luggage.

JapanThe elevator: The elevator door closes way too quickly. Even if just 2 people are boarding without anyone on it, the door starts to rapidly close shortly after the first person enters. This caused me to get hit by the elevator door multiple times, which I could imagine injuring children or frailer people. Poor room location: We got a semi-double room, which was itself fine. However, our room (room 524) was right at the end of the hallway on the 5th floor. Directly in front of our door was the door to the washing machine/vending machine area. So because of the poor sound insulation of the walls and doors, we were regularly disturbed by the sounds of people talking, the washing machines and dryers, the opening/closing of the door, etc. If it was impossible to design the hallways and rooms to avoid this issue, then this room should only be given to customers if it is the LAST possible availability (at the time of my booking, there were 4 rooms left), and it should be given at a discounted price. Breakfast buffet time: We chose the last time slot of the breakfast buffet, between 8:35 and 9:00, and arrived just before 9:00. Within 10 minutes, we had just barely gotten our food and drink, and the staff already began putting all the food away. If guests are allowed to arrive up until 9:00, then at least leave the food until 9:30 since check-out is until 10:00 anyways. Vending machine: This is minor, but there was only an alcoholic beverage vending machine next to an ice dispenser, without a regular vending machine. Although the tap water in the room is drinkable, that should not be the only choice. Bed: The bed sheets and comforter were made of a slippery, non-porous material, causing it to slide all over and making it uncomfortable to sleep in (or on top of, since the non-porous material makes you sweat). Also this is just a problem for me as a 195 cm man, but since the bed was sandwiched between two walls, I could not fully stretch my legs while on the bed.
The hotel is incredibly close to Fukui Station, making it convenient to get to. And the included mixed Western/Japanese breakfast buffet was very enjoyable, even if the inclusions were very standard. The price was also fairly reasonable. Even though it generally met my expectations for a low-cost business hotel, there were several small things which left me with an overall negative impression. United States of AmericaSurprised by the daily changing of linen and towels. Smoking on designated floors still left smoke odors floating up and down the stairways.
The location of the hotel was perfect for the train travel we did. The breakfast was beyond what we expected and was excellent. We are Americans and there was a mix of Western and Japanese foods. It was nice to have familiar fare, but also to try new dishes. The staff was very attentive and polite. Cleaning of the room was thorough. We appreciated having a laundry facility on site, and the storage of our bags after check out and before our final departure were very helpful.

PhilippinesMaybe it's just the room I was given, but time caught up to some of the hotel's facilities. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I didn't find the pillows comfortable. The room felt musty. They provided room and fabric fresheners so that may help.
Hotel is right outside Fukui Station which was really helpful since I had to catch an early train. There are convenience stores and a coin laundry nearby, so that's good. The coffee and room amenities were nice.

JapanThe room interior is outdated. The wallpaper could be replaced due to some staining/evident lines from age. While the hotel is non-smoking, there’s a slight odor from when it was a smoking hotel in the past. It’s not extreme but it is evident. The door is a lock and key, the door itself locks automatically but it’s a little annoying to walk around with a key and large keychain versus a card. You can also hear hallway noise very easily.
The location is great, short walking distance to and from Fukui Station with train and bus access. It’s also walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and convenience stores. The bed and pillows are less firm. The fridge was a good size and didn’t freeze my food items.

JapanThe building is very dated and needs a serious overhaul. There is no soundproofing in the rooms at all - I could hear my neighbor snoring every night as though they were sleeping right next to me. The gap under the door also meant that you could hear people walking up and down the corridors and opening and slamming their doors at all hours. It didn't make for good, quality sleep. My room's bathroom was very temperamental - sometimes the water kept running so it essentially wouldn't stop flushing even though one of the staff came up to check the issue. The complimentary breakfast wasn't great - the Western section was basically very mushy scrambled eggs, some bland cereal and bread. There wasn't even proper cutlery like knives to put spread on the bread, which was baffling. It wouldn't have been too much of a stretch to have some bacon and sausage. Lastly, the rooms used actual KEYS; not keycards. The last time I stayed at a hotel that used physical keys was probably over 10 years ago. It just didn't feel very safe and secure and the fact that you had to deposit your key at the reception was always a hassle, especially when there was a long line.
The location was second to none - literally a minute from Fukui Station, West Exit so convenience was top notch. The staff were also very friendly and went out of their way to help me with some issues I had despite their limited English skills. Appreciate it! Oh, and the TV in the room is a smart TV so you can watch YouTube on it - that was good.

IndonesiaThe shower's water pressure was very weak, probably due to my room on the 8th floor, so it took longer time to bathe. In addition, since my room was near the elevator, the voices from the elevator can be heard. It was not really a problem for me, but some people might find it annoying.
The location was very good, it's practically in front of the bus stop, JR Fukui station, and Echizen Railway. I got room at 8th floor, so the view from my window was pretty outstanding. The room was fresh and clean, no stinks from smoking. The breakfast had many variations from bread, rice, curry, tea, coffee, milk, juices, etc. It also provided Fukui specialty dish, Sauce Katsu, which is pretty awesome for the price.
