I'm 6'2 and the twin beds and sheets were a little short and small. Only 1 pillow as well. However I'm sure I could have asked for more.

Central yet quiet location, big and well set up rooms, clean, AC and bathroom works well. Staff were great. Laundry was good. Luggage forwarding avaliable. All around good.

The only problem was the smell of the room coming from the tatami, it was natural and the room was closed the smell was intensified. The room was a bit humid.

Booked last minute to be close to friends staying at a luxury-ish hotel one street over that was sold out on our first day arriving. Didn't see many reviews and was worried but turned out to be a great minimalist hotel. Way better and cleaner than the hotel in Osaka we stayed in.

There’s a smell with the flooring nthat can be too strong. They changed my room.And were very kind to accommodate . No breakfast options

The rooms are big and clean, traditional looking, yet modern! Very comfy, bathroom is big, location is perfect, close to shopping streets and Nishiki market. Imperial palace is also at a walking distance, metro is right around the corner, the area is calm.

The staff is very kind and they really tried their best to help us with our requests but they easily are overwhelmed. We had to because we needed a phone to make calls.

Good location, walking distance to main areas but not too busy. Quiet at night. Comfy beds. Tatami area is good to put your luggage and have space. Bathroom is spacious. Laundry room/ washing machine downstairs.

The staff did not speak English. The problem occurred when I asked for the taxi order to go to the train station with bags. Reception told that they are not able to call it for me ( did not understand why ????) and I had to go with the bags on the street to catch a taxi on the road.

Absolutely great place to stay in Kyoto. Felt like at home. Big room. Nice vivid colores. . loved tatami & bean bags in the sitting area of the room. Nespresso coffee machine. Quality of toiletries- shampoo smell - soooo good !

Our stay was great, the room was clean, beds very comfy and the little table and tatami was nice to enjoy a cup of tea. Special thanks to the staff who were very kind and help us to book our next accommodations for the Shikoku pilgrimage, by kindly phone calling the hosts and arrange our arrival. Thanks a lot!

Definitely the biggest rooms we had on our itinerary. It’s clean and located in walking distance to everything you need and probably want to visit. The staff was super friendly and supportive. Had some problems sending our luggage to the next hotel and they were very helpful.

The only minor issue I can think of is, that the rooms are locked with keys instead of key cards.

The stay was beyond our expectations. The small hotel with friendly staff is located very centrally in Kyoto. The rooms are exceptional in size and very modern. everything is very clean. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

The room was very spacious. The bathroom is well organised and spacious too. There is a great sitting area on tatami. Soft pillows and blankets. Downstairs you can use washing and drying machines for a small fee and the quality was outstanding. You can’t find better location in Kyoto if you are a tourist. On top of that the staff kindly accepted our luggage from a delivery company few days before we arrived. And when we checked in our big backpack was already waiting for us in the room :)

The room is a bit small, and the lighting is too dim for comfortable working, which strains the eyes. Initially, the air conditioner in my room malfunctioned, but after lengthy negotiations and communication, the staff kindly assisted me in changing rooms, for which I am deeply grateful.

The Staff members are helpful. Although some of them cannot speak English, we still can communicate with a translation app.
