Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hostel is located above a juice bar and the host was super friendly and brought us a basket with stunning breakfast to our room. We also got a great dinner recommendation and had everything we needed. The rooms are modern and furnished in happy colors, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Nice homestay managed by a person who could speak very well in English. Great experience for a special room setup and special Japanese breakfast which is really delicious. Quiet place with easy access to nearby walking covered shopping, restaurant street. Will certainly be visiting this place again in my near future and special thanks to the host who had giving us lots of guidance on the local attraction!

The host was really friendly and recommended us to many great places/restaurants. We arrived early for check in and he allowed us to keep our baggage so we can head out for our trip. We came back late for check in but he waited for us patiently and even moved our baggage to our rooms before we arrived so we had everything settled as soon as we checked in Very comfortable stay, will be back if I visit Takamatsu again! Location was just a few mins walk from public transportation and other attractions.

Amazing host! He helped us with all our questions, even for our next destination! He prepared a lovely breakfast basket with great (vegetarian) sandwich. The guesthouse is close to many restaurants (but good to make a reservation for some) and the harbour if you want to go to one of the islands. Clean room and although tiny, very nicely and smartly furnished.

AustraliaStayed in Koya with two little ones (9 months and 3 years old). 3 year old loved it as it felt like staying at a cubby house but it was hard to keep our 9 month old from crawling off the edge of the rooms. Would highly recommend for families with kids aged 3+! Lovely place with very helpful staff.

JapanThe staff service will turn out to be really bad when it comes to the check-out day. I stayed 5 days in this hostel, before I booked the room I let them know I will do remote work in the free space during the stay. (even on the last day) They treated me really warmly on the very first day but the last day's experience was AWFUL!! I checked out on time before 10:00 am, no one was in the lobby, which was fine. Since I needed to start remote work, I picked up a seat and started my meeting, also waiting for my flight in the evening. There was a cleaning company visiting when no staff was there in the lobby so I helped to answer the door for the hustle, which was still totally fine. Later on (can’t remember what time was it), there came a female staff, telling me I should move my seat to the very corner place, so they can serve “their customers”.(The attitude was like ever since I checked out, I’m not their customer anymore.) I apologized for the inconvenience and moved right away according to her instruction. In the evening, the female staff passed a post it to me, right in the middle of my meeting, saying “申し訳ございませんが、もうそろそろ出てもらっていいですか?” Which means “Sorry, would you please get out any minutes sooner?” Well, the service really frustrated me. I’ve never experienced this at any other hustles(in Japan or other countries). It’s so rude to be passed a post-it writing that content when I proceeded to an important meeting… The room was good, other staff and the owner did warmly welcome us during the stay. But I think the last day's experience ruined everything. Advice for guests who considering staying in this hustle, maybe it’s better to get out as soon as possible once checked out. Any minutes you stayed in the lobby, even if the reason is that you need to wait for the flight, will be regarded as disturbing.
The breakfast is good, cost additionally ¥600. I like the aroma in the room. Room, bathroom, toilet design is good.
