Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The rooms were very small with almost no space to put your belongings. We had to be very creative
The location was great! We were close to many hot spots to visit in Korea and it was very convenient to get to places that are far too

The room is small and price is quite expensive maybe due to its location.
The location is superb. You can store your luggage while waiting for check in or check out, which is very accommodating.

Bathroom. Please install a grab bar or rail at the bath tub so as to enable guest to easily get in and out the tub/shower. High safety risk especially for senior citizen. Price, a bit on the higher end if you compare with other hotels worldwide with the same facilities and star ratings.
Location. Easy access to everything. Convenient to get to from the airport with the airport limousine bus.

Only 2 lifts. Long waiting time especially during peak period.
Nine Tree Hotel Myeongdong is located right at the heart of Myeongdong shopping district with lot of restaurants and eateries surrounding it. It is within very short walking distance from Myeongdong station exit 8. Travelled with a family of 5 and we have booked a triple and a double room. The triple room was big and spacious whereas the double room I think is a bit small. Overall both rooms are very clean.

Aircon - auto-mode, it turns on to cool the room to the temperature you selected and then it stops. I feel cold when it is turned on and a little stuffy sometimes when it is turned off although it is not.a big issue for me. Lifts - only 2 and sometimes it can a bit of a wait as there are 16 floors. Size - 21msq for a double room. Not much space for my big luggage + cabin luggage.
Staff - very good service, professional, helpful, smiling and hospitable. They made me feel welcome and served staying at the hotel. I am most impressed with the staff & willingness to help. No bad attitude. Location - very close to myeongdong exit 8 subway and airport bus. Arrival on airport bus 6001 is opposite and is slightly inconvenient but 6015 is drop off on the same side of the road. Cleanliness - the housekeeping cleans well after each day.

Lack of English TV channel, will be good to have Netflix. Weak shower pressure.
Convenient location. Right on Myeongdong Shopping district and eatery.. Exit 8 to be exact with escalator for those travel by subway with luggage.

We had to stay in two types of room since i didn’t get a single booking for all the stays . I had to check out and checkin again , keep my luggage in the locker room and then get it back while checking into another room was an inconvenience and unnecessary hassle. I wish the hotel had accommodated an extension.
Right in the middle of all the buzz of myeongdong , everything available around a walking distance of seconds. The street is so alive and vibrant. Loved the location.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Replenish bottles eveey day. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, body lotion avail. Mini fridge avail. Ediya coffee and earl grey tea. Disposable slipper not available and no toothbrush /paste. Enough hangers available.

Aircon not working well and was installed on the ceiling above one bed. Toilet flush not working well. Only provided 1 pillow per bed, had to request for another one.

We had a hard time getting in and out of the bathtub. Two of us were given the smaller twin room, while the other travel partner was given the slightly bigger room. It didn't make sense but we managed.
The room for what we paid was great, location great and staff excellent.

The hotel is just in the center of Seoul, with restaurants, cafès and shops. The bus from and to the airport Incheon stops 3 minutes away from the hotel, transport starts at 4:30am, it is very convinient. The staff is bery friendly, the rooms very clear, the reception is on the 2nd floor. Round the hotel every day in the afternoon, in front of the shops at the pavement-streets, there are open street food stands, with lokal food I recommend a room at upper floor. The breakfast is served at the 2nd floor with nice view at the streets and shops. Sometimes you can hear music from the near restaurants until 23:00, no problem for me. I would definetely stay at this hotel, if I visit Seoul again.
