Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Perfect location, spacious room, clean and comfortable. We got even a welcome gift with biscuits waiting in the room. The stuff was nice. The breakfast had more options than other 3 hotels we stayed during our stay in Korea, we liked it the best.

Able to hear outside noise easily.
Great location, walkable distance from City Hall train station as well as Namdaemun markets and Myeongdong. Helpful staff when asked questions. Plenty of convenience stores and coffee shops/chains nearby.

The only thing was the lack of toothbrushes/toothpaste so you would need to remember to pack them or get them at the 7-11 right around the corner.
The location’s very good - surrounded by lots of good restaurants. The room was clean. The staff were all very polite and helpful and spoke decent English.

Nothing. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
The location is fantastic! City Hall station is minutes away. There’s restaurants and convenience stores right outside the front door. The staff are really attentive, always greeting you whether you’re leaving or returning. The air conditioning worked great and we really liked that there was a mini fridge in the room.

I found the breakfast to be poor, although the hotel is in a very good location and receives tourists from all over the world, they could have more breakfast options, not just Korean food.
The hotel is good. Modern, clean, polite and attentive staff. The location is very good. It's a 10/15 minute walk to Myeongdong shopping center, malls, etc.

The morning staff were very nice. We needed a Korean card to pay for parking nearby and they used their personal card to pay for our parking. Very helpful, thanks so much.

Everything. The location was strategic. Just literally 10 steps away from the nearest restaurant and convenience store. The room is super clean. The whole place is well maintained. The staff were polite and very helpful.

The only thing I could fault was the shower was very small.Everything else was great.
Close to city hall station. Underground shopping centre a couple of minutes away. Amazing food court there. Food and 7/11 everywhere. Short walk to Main Street market. We are staying again on our way back and they kept our bags for us while we traveled to Jeju and Busan.

Good location. Once the whereabouts are known, the Hotel is in an ideal spot. The Hotel staff was always willing to help, calling a taxi or answering all questions regards to close by attractions etc. Housekeeping staff were attentive and excellent. The rooms were always clean & tidy and the room size was very reasonable. There are two 7-11's close to the hotel and plenty of dine in restaurants. The best option from the airport is the Limousine Bus which has a stop at the Plaza Hotel which is just 5 minutes away from Thomas Hotel Myeongdong.

I liked everything. People who just want to shop might want to be closer to the main shopping area but it was perfect for me.
I stayed here twice on my recent trip to Korea. The room was large, quiet, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is well-located - close to the City Hall subway station, Plaza Hotel limousine bus stop and Deoksugung. The location suited me perfectly as I didn’t want to be in the heart of the Myeongdong shopping area. Breakfast was fine despite the various negative comments about it on this site. I will definitely stay here again next time.

I hope they can have a map of the limousine bus, I left this morning and got lost for 30mins trying to find the 6701 bus stop. Hotel Plaza is close by and the limo bus stops there they could have recommended the place.
Facilities are clean and staff are helpful. However there are staff that I asked where is the place to go shopping and he said he doesn't know. The girls are good but having a map as to where we are and the places where we could go to would be a lot better. Room facilities are so nice and bed are comfortable.
