If you're looking for the perfect beach getaway this is it! We were so warmly welcomed to Golden Beach and were just a 30 second walk from the beautiful golden beach. Our room was clean, simple and exactly what we needed for our stay. We had spent time at a more expensive hotel just up the coast and this was genuinely a more enjoyable experience. Good bar by the beach and loungers you could spend days here just reading a book and soaking in the sun.

No mosquito net in the room... despite lot of mosquitos are there! The A/C is only partially working, so that the temperature is still quite high in the room.

The only thing there is to improve would be a mosquito net over the bed.

We absolutely loved it to stay there. The cottage offers so much space, is clean and has a big bathroom. The breakfast was good and the staff was super friendly. We were happy to stay at the property and would always go there again.

We loved how it's located right on the beach ⛱️ 😍 There is a snorkeling/ scuba diving office directly next to the hotel. Which was so convenient since we wanted to explore and see all the beautiful sea life. We highly recommend the hotel. Also be sure to check out Angel Diving and ask for Suri he is extremely experienced at diving. He has over 20 years experience and will make you feel really safe for your first time. I was really nervous but in the end I am so grateful for my experience and recommend it to anyone visiting this hotel and beach.

1. The location is ideal. We could sit on the terrace and watch the sunrise; 2. Just a couple of steps from our room and we find ourselves on a good and fairly clean beach. Comfortable sun loungers are always available; 3. The room is well thought out. It's comfortable inside and has everything you need; 4. A good tourist street with a cafes and a shop right behind the hotel, easy to get to the city of Trincomalee by tuk-tuk. Trincomalee is also interesting; 5. Very nice ocean. The beach is shallow, with soft sand. The ocean is warm. Sometimes in the evenings it’s even hot. The waves are safe and fun to play in; 6. Really friendly staff. They helped us find snorkeling organizers and affordable transfers to another city. They made breakfast for us at any time, even at noon. One day they even made us a Sri Lankan breakfast with rotti and dhal curry; 7. Cafe where you can have a dinner right on the ocean; We were there for 5 days and really enjoyed it.

Driveway could do with a bit of repair. Supplying beach towels would be a bonus.

The staff are friendly but sometimes it was needed to ask them several turns for something you want.

1 - Several dogs live/hang around at the site. They are very friendly and show protective behavior toward guests. No threats to us at all. But they pose a risk to the good hygiene of the restaurant. 2 - The access road needs proper maintenance.

1 - The location of this place is excellent as it is situated right on the beach, and the rooms are only a few steps away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they offer good value for money. Some renovations and upgrades are being carried out at the beginning of the season. 2 - The food served here is delicious, and well-presented, and includes a variety of seafood options. Good value for money. 3 - Although some of the staff may not be highly professional, they are friendly, energetic, and promptly attend to guests' needs. A few areas of improvement are needed in the cleanliness of the rooms and utensils but it was understood the difficulty the management is having in maintaining the expected standards with a novice staff, a problem seen in many areas due to skilled migration. But whenever I brought them to their attention, the staff and the management humbly accepted and rectified them promptly.

unfortunately I came at an offseason period where it was quite quiet, it didn't affect my stay, just wished It could've been a bit more lively

Is definitely more of a nice beach shack vibe than a luxury beach cottage. Just needed a bit of decorating and could be cleaner and then it would be lovely.

The stay is almost directly on the beach, which is an amazing spot. There are also a lot of facilities closeby to arrange a snorkeling or diving experience. Because we went diving we would be too late for our check out, but they let us have a late check out so we could still shower afterwards. They really have such a good service and helped us with all of our questions.
