Coffee (in the room and at the breakfast) was tasteless, and the breakfast could be really better!

We had issues with the air conditioning in our hotel room - where it wasn't working properly. They moved us to a new room, and the air conditioning was working well in the new room, but then the water pressure and water temperaturee of the new room was very poor.

It's a new hotel (just 1 year old), has a fantastic rooftop pool (x2) and bar, gym and the hotel rooms are nice. The price per night was very competitive, given it's such a beautiful and modern hotel. It's also located just 1 block away from La Quinta (the main road in Playa del carmen) but separated enough that you weren't in the thick of things. It also has a huge supermarket below it which was helpful to buy food, or other random things during our trip. Would definitely consider staying here again if we came back to Playa del carmen.

On our second night, we had to wait one hour before operating the shower (water was not turning on) and when it did, water was cold. We also went to the gym, where the AC was not on. On another day, maintenance needed to be performed on the AC system in the rooms. While they had a few conference rooms available with refreshments for our convenience, we needed to be in our rooms that day and it was uncomfortable.

Staff members were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Location was perfect for the locations I was planning to visit. The pool was beautiful and spacious, with sunshine all day.

Property is fairly new and still some construction going on; we unfortunately got a room right above where work was being done - don’t expect sleep in as the drilling and banging noises will for sure keep you up! ask to be assigned to a higher floor if you can

located in the city centre with access to everything you need (taxi, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, shops, bus station etc.) area is very safe with multiple patrol cars

We were there for two nights and didn’t manage to get hot water to shower (even after they claimed maintenance would come to fix it). Not the end of the world in hot weather, but still a bummer

I didn’t like When I arrived the lobby doors were closed and there were no staff at the lobby desk. I called the phone number that’s listed on the app and there was no answer. After waiting outside a clearing lady came down that was doing the trash and she let me in. When I got to the room there was something on the floor and clump of hair on the wall in the shower. After traveling all day to get to the hotel I wanted to take a shower and there wasn’t hot water.

My sister wanted to take the stairs however, the doors only open from outside, she could not get out of the stairs area and she had a moment of terror. Do not take the stairs !!

We were not told about the Towles when checking in.. , we didn't get a towel card and went back and forth with the reception and the guy on the roof top.. we figured it out and it worked out.. small thing but would be good to be explained earlier at check in

We didn't found the reception at first, but called the hotel and got the instructions needed.

Very nice hotel, with great facilities (pools, rooftop bar, gym). Hotel is wel placed one block away from the "Quinta", where you can walk around a lot of shops and restaurants. Also on top of a supermarket so you can buy anything you need there and you always have taxis available to bring you where you need to go.

I've been to Aloft many times before to their rooftop for various events, however this was my first time staying there. I was beyond pleased with he staff's friendliness, the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, and the hotel design itself. Wifi was perfect, I took a lot of work video calls on it. The showers, bathrooms, and bed was clean and great, felt quite upscale. If there was any flaw, it would be the bathroom sliding door, which was a little annoying, but that's just my personal preference.

I rented a studio and then a King room for a couple more days (both with balconies), and liked both rooms, lovely tastefully decorated, new, both had the same facilities such as a small fridge and coffee/tea maker which was all I needed. I did expect however that the studio apartment would be equipped with at least a microwave to reheat leftover food or something similar which was not the case. Anyway, not a big deal as the place is great, just something to note in case other folks have similar expectations.

Beautiful, big rooms, calming beautiful furniture and decoration, very clean throughout, housekeeping excellent, bathroom was beautiful with great water pressure, hot water at all times, ventilation, etc. Beds super comfy. Blackout curtains! Quiet rooms overlooking the interior yard which is rare for Playa. Overall a great place for shorter stays.
