Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe back entrance to avoid the hill could do with some improvement. Sadly, some places are marred with litter ( not the hotel’s fault).
The location was lovely, up in the hill, (once you get up it) amongst the trees, with hornbills and (sometimes cheeky) monkeys. We loved the wooden chalet room, comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Breakfast was tasty and generous and the staff welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the upgrade to a room with a balcony.

MalaysiaSteps are not manageable for very young children and older people with mobility issues.
This place is ok if you have transport, but still a steep drive up the hill. We rented a car (you could also rent a motorbike) so it was ok for us. The room was very clean and service very friendly. One of the better places in Pangkor in terms of service and cleanliness. Breakfast was quite basic, but there was local coffee and a monkey thought the bread was so good it stole some of it before we could react!!

MalaysiaBit difficult to climb mountain for elderly (if want to go coral beach)
Everything was great, room, surrounding , simple breakfast but good. Also, we were lucky to see and feed the hornbill by the help of staff. I forgot my earbuds in the room and they are helping to send it back to me via Post.

MalaysiaExcellent customer service .
I had the pleasure of staying at Utan Teluk Nipah in Pulau Pangkor, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. I owe a large part of that to Chandra, whose kindness and understanding made my stay unforgettable. Originally, I had booked my stay for my birthday on April 8th. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to reschedule. Chandra was incredibly accommodating and understanding, allowing me to change the date of my booking without any hassle. The location itself is a paradise for nature lovers. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, with the beach and eateries just a stone's throw away, Utan Teluk Nipah offers the perfect blend of tranquillity and convenience. We opted to rent a bike from the Jetty to explore the area, and it was an adventure we will never forget. I left Utan Teluk Nipah with a sense of peace and rejuvenation, already planning my return trip to spend more time in this wonderful place. If you are looking for a getaway close to nature, I highly recommend Utan Teluk Nipah—and be sure to say hi to Chandra and Din for me.

GermanyThis was the most wonderful place we stayed at so far. Not only are the little huts really nice and cosy and you can hear the noises of the rainforest all night, but secondly the staff were exceptionally lovely. We were able to stay a night longer, as we missed the first night, the breakfast every morning was delicious and Din helped us with everything we needed, he even got up a little early to serve us coffee and fruit the morning we left. We would always come back here!

MalaysiaLocation was up on a hill, with steep stairs or even steeper roads so not recommended for elderly.
Surrounded by the trees, it was definitely very relaxing with random hornbills visiting. The resort was simple and clean, well maintained rooms.

SpainNothing, everything was great.
This place is wonderful, looking around at other places to stay in Coral beach, Utan Teluk is by far the most charming place. Loved the little wooden cabines in the middle of the trees, waking up by the sound of nature. Great to be a bit up the hill to see the sunset, and still very close to the beach. The beds incredibly comfortable, clean. Breakfast is good with variety of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful, they helped us rent a motorbike, get a taxi for the return. All was very good, highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Pangkor!

GermanyCould hear the guests upstairs stomping really loudly and other noises, which disturbed our sleep unfortunately. Room service would have been nice to get the room cleaned. As well as laundry options would have been nice.
Great Location ! Close to Nipah Beach, Coral Bay and a lot of restaurants and local attractions. At the same time very calm and peaceful in the forest, it was nice waking up to birds chirping and could hear Quran at the evening from a local mosque. Breakfast was great, very delicious and nice that they had some fruits too. Water dispenser to refill water bottles. Rooms were clean and nice, beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Staff was very helpful and accommodating and gave good tips. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!
