Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo elevator but staff will carry your bags.
Great hotel tucked in a good neighborhood close to the Mauritshuis Museum (Girl with the Pearl Earring). Staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was large and the large bathroom terrific (towel warmers and shower!). Breakfast was lovely with seating available in the front lobby.

United KingdomGround floor bedroom windows immediately adjacent to an Irish bar beer garden. Bar clientele visible through windows, music and chat noise at night and barrel unloading and recycling in the mornings. Door to suite accessed immediately off reception/bar/breakfast room. Early morning and late night noise from diners, guests and staff. Unfortunately this sullied the experience for us of an otherwise beautiful hotel.
Beautiful spacious, stylish room. Great double showers and large bath. Very clean. Lovely welcome snacks and drinks. Staff always available when we needed them. some private outdoor space.

United States of AmericaThe young man at the desk could have offered to carry my big suitcase downstairs when I checked out, but, on the other hand, I appreciated not being treated like an old lady! I think it is good to do things for oneself as long as you are able to do so. I took my time and had no trouble getting down the stairs with my bag, and I’m thankful that I can, at age 82!
Breakfast was wonderful! I enjoyed the view of the garden and the King’s stables from my window.

SpainThere is a bar underneath room 1, so those who are sensitive to sound while sleeping need to be aware of this.

United States of AmericaEverything was really great. I can't really think of anything that was not good.
The size of the room was large enough that we didn't feel cramped traveling with an infant. The view from the room was lovely. There was a bathtub, so we were able to bathe our baby. The breakfast was very good and our daughter enjoyed the delicious scrambled eggs.

United KingdomThe only issue we had was that it was quite noisy. The corridors and room weren't carpeted so noise tended to echo a bit.
The hotels location was superb, right in the centre and on a lovely shopping street. Our room was lovely, with huge top notch bathroom and had a balcony overlooking the garden and some of the garden of the royal Palace.

NetherlandsOur expectations were very different. When you book a room on booking you may choose the type. We have chosen a suite that included a couch. In the reality the couch was missing, the room was much smaller than was promised. Also the room was not looking as a suite but was looking as a normal room in terms of design + some extras like the terrace and bathtub. We booked a: Lux Suite but we got a: Superior King Room + bathtub and terrace. We paid for the very good looking design, but we got nothing. The mini bar that we paid for, contained 2 bottles of water, really? And the tv was positioned very uncomfortable, not on the center of the bed but rather in the corner of the room, so the eyes were positioned pretty bad/ I think the hotel is nice overall but they just overlooked what we booked for and they are not attentive to what clients really paid money for. 160 euro for what we got is dissapointing, we will not come back.
The hotel was beautiful and cleam. We got a terrace as we were promised, as well as a bathtub.

IrelandThe access to our bedroom was up two flights of stairs...one steep and the other very steep. Our room was quite basic in many ways ( wardrobes/bathroom/toiletries supplied/towels) and not really what we would expected in a boutique hotel. Some small touches would make a big difference e.g. some floor rugs/ curtains / a full length mirror / a refresh of the paint.
The hotel is very central located, near public transport, shopping, restaurants etc. The entrance area/breakfast area is lovely with beautiful high ceilings. The staff were nice and friendly. The bed was comfortable.

ItalyThe only thing that did not speak to us was having to pay a daily fee for a crib for our 10-month-old baby. At times, we had seen hotels charging a one-off fee to install the crib, but never a daily fee. We would also suggest a large duvet for the bed rather than 2 separate ones (but we appreciate it is a matter of preference). When booking, it is worth asking on which floor the room is located (it could be 2 sets of narrow stairs up) and also for any possible noise (there are nearby pubs that get lively, especially on the weekends, though we did not feel it was much of a problem and the music was tuned down after 11pm).
The style of the hotel was just perfect. We loved the combination of great design and homely feeling. Located right at the heart of Noordeinde. Breakfast was simple but with attention to detail and great ingredients. The staff was smiling, friendly, and attentive.

United KingdomNo complaints - it was all nice.
Really well placed hotel in the centre of The Hague, close to some great restaurants and a number of attractions. The room was large and we even had a little private garden which would be lovely in good weather (it was February and raining!). Nice decor and comfortable bed - the bathroom was also really big and very nicely done. Staff were friendly and helpful, we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but you in addition to a basic buffet you could also order dishes like waffles etc done to order. It was a nice hotel!
