Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThe hotel has great potential and the location is beautiful and the price is pretty good. But the overall experience wasn't really nice because it was very loud at night, the other guests act disrespectful, they were blowing their noses, coughing, and slamming doors all night long, and it was hard to sleep because of audibility. On the ground floor, there is a bar, where also was a party all night and it was pretty loud. The room needs to be cleaned properly, and the balcony as well, and the bedside tables are falling apart. Also, please notice, there is a shower in the room, but the toilet is shared in the hall.
The room was nice and spacious. There were enough towels, a kettle, and a fridge. The location is really nice, the hotel placed in a beautiful city with nice commuting. The train station and a bus stop are near so you can go anywhere easily. We had a room with a view of a windmill, it was very nice.

NetherlandsIt wasn’t very clean. The ventilation was dusty, the drawers haven’t been cleaned in a long time, and it was just generally dusty. The room was very noisy, you could hear the music from the cafe/bar till 2am very very well. I could also hear my neighbours very well, since the walls were very thin. There are very steep stairs, so not very wheelchair friendly. It said there is free parking, but it’s shared with the residents there, so I was only able to find a free parking spot once. The last time I had to park 6 minutes walking away and it was paid. Overall, the property is fine for what you pay for it, but it’s not amazing.
The location is very central. You can walk into the center easily. There is a bus stop nearby if you need it. There is wifi, but I did have to ask for the password. I wasn’t given it.

AustriaNot necessarily bad, but it is worth mentioning that the private bathroom is literally a bath only. Toilets are outside the room and shared with other guests.
Quite simple, e.g. no shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer, but if you’re only looking for a room to sleep in it’s still good value for money.

BelgiumI had an unexpected, earlier leave. No flexibility from the owners unfortunately. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but doable.
The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring Schiedam center. Checking in was swift.

GermanyThe room and shared kitchen smelled funny (cigarette smoke?). It's an old building, so you hear the other guests. The kitchen was not super clean. There was a cupboard per room with dishes, however I had to clean them before using.
Staff was super friendly and kind! I was able to check in before official check-in time and got a drink on the house while waiting for the keys. Kitchen was generally equipped with dish soap and sponges as well as dishes. The room had a shower built in. There was a mini fridge and TV in the room. My room was much cleaner than the common facilities and freshly made up before I moved in.

UkraineI especially liked the view from the window. Our room was 4 on the corner, so there were many windows and a beautiful view. The beds are comfortable to rest after a trip or a long day of walking. The toilet is in the corridor, but clean. The kitchen is also shared, but we didn't use it. The room has a shower, refrigerator, kettle, coffee, tea. From the hotel it is convenient to go wherever you want. Parking is free along the street. The area is calm, you can take a walk along the canal in the evening. There is a museum in the mill nearby and you can take a boat ride along the canal, but until 17:00 in April. We were greeted very friendly and in the bar you can drink drinks and watch football. The place is atmospheric and, as they say, “for our own people.” I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

GhanaGood place in it's class, underrated by people who don't understand that. My only minor is a (very clean) WC outside the room, but just 6 steps away. Hovering can be done better.
Good location, comfortable beds, good wifi, TV, fridge, shower. Coffee/tea maker and Great typical Dutch neighborhood pub downstairs.

NetherlandsIt's not the hotel's fault but there were many mosquitoes in the room, so they bit me all over my face and I couldn't sleep all night. The pillows could use a change, they are quiet bubblely.... I wasn't expecting not to have a toilet in the room : (

It seemed someone took a nap in it.. stairs was cery dangerous to go up or down with nothing in hand let alone a luggage.. we went to tell the lady in the bar not reception and she was rude. She told us why dont you go to the hilton. Very rude. We left the place and had to book another place in the evening as we could not sleep there.
