The front desk was not open all the time and this could have been a problem for my arrival.

The hotel was very cozy, quiet and clean. The breakfast was out-standing. The locked front door added an extra sense of security.

The hotel hasn't elevador and the stairs are step. Not for people with disabilities

The seagulls were a bit annoying, they are quite active even in the night. So because the building was quite old (probably built in the 19th century) the windows are single glazed and the wall are thin. If you're noise sensitive I recommend to bring some earplugs.

Reception most of the time was closed only time to talk to staff was in the morning during bfast. A kettle in the room would have been great.

There were no tea making facilities in the room. The staircase was a bit steep and would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

It was a small hotel in a quiet area. Easy access to the conference centre World Forum, and tram/bus into city centre. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The proprietor was very helpful and pleasant. The room was spotless and comfortable, with attractive decor.

Because the breakfast was personally prepared by the hotel owner, it only started at 8am, which was when my conference activity started. Therefore I was only able to enjoy the breakfast on my final day at the hotel.

The environment was really cute and helped me remember I was in the Netherlands - definitely not an impersonal hotel room that could be anywhere. The location was perfect for me - only about a 10-minute walk to the World Forum and easy access to lots of other parts of the city.

If I have to pick on something, I would suggest some light/quiet music during the breakfast. There was only a young couple and me, everybody was whispering because nobody wanted to bother anyone. A Small bluetooth player, at a low volume could break this awkwardness IMO.

The owner is very welcoming, friendly, helpful. The property itself rather reminded me of a small British B&B than a Hotel as such. The room was also small but just fine, no probs. Nevertheless, I only stayed for one night and I would easily go back due to the welcome. The breakfast was also good in my opinion, 3 types of bread, croissant, ham, salami, cheese, egg, yoghurt, some fruit, coffee/tea - for me it was just perfect . The location is also alright, the owner told me to take tram 17, which make my life easier - Thank you!

We spent one night on a business trip in Hotel Excelsior. The rooms were adequately furnished, comfortable and clean, and although there was a technical problem in one of the rooms, the staff took care of it and provided an alternative location to our complete satisfaction. The breakfast was one of the better ones I had in a hotel - fresh food, service at the table... We did not do any touristic activities, but for those who want to - the beach is close by, as is a bus stop directly to the center of the city. All in all, a great experience!
