To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

FinlandThe ensuite was a little tight, it was a bit of a squeeze getting past the sink, and the landings were too tight for an open buggy, but we were able to manage nonetheless.
The staff were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was good value for money and one fewer stress when travelling with a brood of kids. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There was plenty of information available to give our teens inspiration for exploring the city.

United KingdomWe stayed in a small double bedroom. It was ok for 3 nights but I would recommend guests spend a little more in order to get a larger bedroom. The television in our room did not work. We did report it to staff but, despite promises, it was never fixed.
The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to enjoy all the cultural sites of Amsterdam. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean.

United KingdomEntrance to the hotel being a bit cold and unfriendly and having to buzz to get in and walk around a corner to find the desk. Expensive and noisy overnight; possibly the plumbing, due to the age of a lot of these types of hotels in Amsterdam.

United Kingdom2 parties of 4. 1 room had a balcony and fridge the other room didn't. Wasn't explained why this option was given to one couple and not the other. Staff at breakfast were great and helpful until last day and there weren't as much breakfast choice and when asked why they didn't have any was advised there weren't any. The stairs between floors are extremely steep. Nowhere to hang anyhing up in bathroom. No coffee in room or milk. No outside balcony light to sit out in the evening.
Nice easy location. Clean room. Easy check in and out. Excellent customer service. Great location for transport into central. Nice choice of continental breakfast and easy access to supermarket. Clean. Reception were keen to give you advise of locations, transport locations or bike hire if asked.

Reasonably sized and very clean room in a location a bit off grid, but ok. Rooms are not quiet, so better bring earplugs. Amsterdam is quite overprized, regrettably, so this is a good option. The area is alright, quite a few shops and places nearby.

GermanyAs mentioned, the walls and curtains are quite dirty. Not sure what happened there. The hotel is very clairaudient. You can hear other people, the metro, the sanitary facilities (when used in adjacent rooms), and the sunblinds outside of the window when they are shaking due to the wind. But you‘ll probably get used to it quickly.
The rooms are fine. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. If you don‘t look at the walls, curtains and floor, it‘s quite clean. The hotel is located really close to the metro station, so getting to the city center is not a problem. However, keep in mind that the metro doesn’t run after 1 am (in case you want to go clubbing) and walking takes more or less around 45 minutes.

It’s a simple hotel, but a good one at that. It was ok value for money for Amsterdam. The location is not central, but there are two tram lines, the 12 and the 4 which take you straight to the city centre.

Indonesia- the bed was 2 single beds, instead of double bed - toilet didn't flush and kept running but the staff fixed 3 hours later - rain shower head was broken so the water went crazy. - We once got locked out of the hotel for over 30 minutes and the contact persons placed on the hotel door were no longer belongs to the hotel, so the staff who was also locked out faced difficulties while trying to call a help.
