Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere were flies and stink bugs in the bedroom when we arrived. They continued to get inside all week. The Nespresso machine leaked a lot. The kitchen could benefit from a microwave.
The location in the St Peters neighborhood. We loved the balcony in our apartment too.

CanadaNothing, but you shouldn’t mind climbing stairs and shouldn’t expect a modern hotel.

United KingdomAs someone else noted, it was strange to have the bathroom and toilet without a door and it leads from the bedroom. You have to be very close to your partner to be comfortable and I was with my sister. It seems that this is becoming fashionable these days. Extremely clean though.
The room was very comfortable including beds and pillows. It was very clean. The hosts were everything you want them to be, friendly and very helpful. The dining area for breakfast leads to a bar where you could help yourself to drinks and make a note of what you had. There's an outside space to sit if the weather is good. The walk into the beautiful old town of Maastricht across a park, is very pleasant and everything you need is close by. It is a lovely small hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I come to the area.

PortugalThe room was very good but the toilet/shower area leads directly into the bed area with only a glass door separating it, so it terms of privacy it could be better.
Very cosy and comfortable place to stay, exceptionally clean and in a quiet area. It is around 20-25 min walking from the main train station of the city. Also, you can reach by foot the city center so it works well as a base to explore it. Good value for the money paid.

KuwaitThe apartment style is old fashioned. The heater in the bedroom was not working properly. But the rest of the apartment was ok. The stairs are too small.
I like the size of the apartment, friendly staff and it was close to my University building MSM. All what you need in the kitchen stuff is there. Wifi is good and fast. The most interesting part is the terrace.

NetherlandsBathroom/toilet in the room without doors and without separation that gives you privacy. I think this is pretty bad.

United KingdomParking was 6.50 Euros outside and we were very lucky as there was only 1 space available. The spiral steps were steep, but not that much of a problem.
The owners were so helpful and kind. They are so enthusiastic and go to great lengths to ensure everyone is happy. We only had the continental breakfast once in our 3 days and it was excellent and fresh. It hit -6 oC one evening as we were walking back, but our room was lovely, warm and cosy. The building has great character and a welcoming aura around the place. The dining room was full of visitors from around Europe and the atmosphere was wonderful. The walk to the main areas and river was about 10 to 15 minutes away and I'd love to stay here again in the summer as it was freezing walking around. I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Maastricht. We also had a drive to Aachen in Germany during our stay and that town was thriving and full of magnificent architecture. Well worth a trip if you are staying a few days.

BulgariaThere wasn’t a door in the bathroom, which was little strange for us, but you are still not visible when you’re in the bathroom.
We had a lovely, homely stay in this hotel! The interior was very cozy and the owners were very friendly and helpful. They prepared the breakfast themselves and it was delicious. You have to try the breads and jams 🙂
