Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeySmall rooms are really small but it is Amsterdam and for the price if you do not spend too much time in your room it is enough. I would get bigger one next time.

MexicoMy room was tiny! I did book the "Small Double Room" but definitely did not expect that small. I wish I'd noticed before my stay, I would've gotten a bigger one. My husband and I basically had to "move out of the way" for each other, the only space to go from the bed to the bathroom was a tiny space only one person can walk at the same time. Each room gets a videogame console, we got a PS1, needless to say it barely worked lol and the games kept crashing.
Location was great, near the metro to go anywhere. Also in walking distance of Rijksmuseum, and Van Gogh Museum. It's a nice neighborhood so it felt safe. De Pijp is very nice to walk around and has good areas for food and grocery stores. The Arcade hotel has a very nice backyard where you can smoke , and just enjoy the trees and birds. You can also play giant chess. The hotel has elevator, just very small. I think it's very cool how the decoration is about videogames, I recommend this place for the location mostly. Bathroom with hot water, there was a fan, no AC.

BelgiumNoise insulation between the rooms is not thought out, you can hear the neighbors talking, you need to use earplugs.
Great location, comfortable room for 1 person. I personally found the mattress soft, but this is a personal preference.

GermanyFirst and foremost: You cannot open any windows which drove me crazy as someone who needs fresh air. Small rooms and could be cleaner. Breakfast is served as completely disposable package (you get a bag of breakfast) instead of a more standard buffet.

QatarThe beddings as it was not tucked in the bed so it keeps on falling. Sort of malfunction in the toilet flush. Lights are dim.
Location is convenient like 5-7 mins away from metro and tram. Room is small but most important is it was clean. Staff are polite and I would like to commend the staff who helped me carry my luggage (the one serving the breakfast). Thanks again! Wifi is fast. With Blower and toiletries which are important for me ☺️

Awesome work staff, very helpful and insightful about Amsterdam. Gave really good recommendations on restaurants, museums, apps to download for certain things. The best part is the arcade and computer room. FIBRE OPTIC INTERNET, need I say more? I'll be looking forward to visiting again! -Barney

AustraliaTwo consoles were provided. We were particularly keen on playing the old console for nostalgia and to show our kids and because the old games are more multiplayer. We got a PlayStation 4 which worked fine but only one multiplayer game available; and a Nintendo 64 which sadly didn't work. They arranged replacement which was great but sadly the old games seem to have done their dash and not entirely playable. Still, no surprise for such old consoles and staff did what they could to assist.
The atmosphere was good - staff very easy going with excellent English. Room was as advertised and expected. Breakfast was very easy to arrange via card completed and handed in each evening with adequate choice available and decent elements. Close to some nice and reasonably priced places to eat.

BrazilThe shower pressure was quite weak even though I was on the 4th floor. The bed was a bit noisy, but other than that everything was pretty great in my opinion. Ah, some of the arcade machines were not working properly, so maybe some extra maintenance is needed!
I got a small but cozy room, with a PS2 to keep me company. The decoration was what I expected of a game/geek themed hotel. The bed was comfortable (a bit noisy though), great selection of games everywhere, and easy access too.

United KingdomNoisy! You could literally every conversation from downstairs in the room we stayed in due to it’s close location to the stairs. The room could definitely do with some noise proofing and got woke up multiple times from other guests. The rooms weren’t particularly well cleaned with dust everywhere especially round the back of the console which you had to get down and change over as not many plugs available.
The arcade aspect was really cool and the games consoles in the room were good along with a good catalog of games! Location was great - 5 minute walk from metro and was super handy to get around Staff were all lovely and check in and out was very easy. The shower was lovely!

United KingdomRooms were on the smaller side, not the best for for a 6ft+ person! Could have been cleaner. Plug socket didn't work and hair dryer was smoking when turned on but got replaced the next day.
Staff were friendly, good location, nice hotel for price, would use again for a quick stop over. Ideal for gamers! Cool and original idea. Can get the number 4 tram in to main centre in 10 mins.

NetherlandsPrice is on the high side, 300+ euro for family room for one night.
The family room with park view is spacious, (2 screens for game play or movie watching), beds are comfortable and shower is just right. Breakfast for 10 euro pp is effective, but dont expect a buffet. Team is very kind and helpful. There are many breakfast, lunch and diner facilities within walking distance (including the famous Albert cuyp market).
