Just keep in mind that it's not a chain hotel or a large hotel building. It's an old building transformed into a hotel with love. It will not be spacious inside, and you will have to carry your luggage on a small staircase. Please keep in mind that checkout is 10:30, you won't be able to sleep longer, and you'll be hearing from your room others taken out anyway.

Based on the reviews I had expected something special, but my single bedroom was quite ordinary. Nothing wrong with it, but definitely not special. Breakfast only started at 8.30 (Saturday), and I had to leave at 8.30. Fortunately there is a nice coffee place nearby that opened earlier.

Not a big deal, but I personally am not accustomed to sporadic loud late-night traffic noises from outside, so to get some sleep I had to close the window to muffle them. Unfortunately the weather during my stay was kinda hot (the whole point of visiting the beach, duh! 😎), and thus so was my (small) room. Add to that, your skin being hot from the sun all day, and you realize where this is going.😅 While there was a portable column fan in the room, I ended up not using it because it was kinda noisy and had dust accumulated in it, so instead I just tossed aside the blanket and dozed off that way. Note that I considered other available places to stay before Boutique Lodge, and they likely also suffered from these same environmental conditions the same way. Some were more located in the city center, and probably had more "late night people noise" than my occasional traffic noise. In the end, I had a nice stay & the value for money is what drew me in here. How typical Dutch of me. 😂

Excellent location for a "home base" to explore Zandvoort, great hosts. While it's true that I needed to go up several stairs to get to my room, I got the hang of it rather quickly and it wasn't a big deal for me as I left in the morning only to return in the evening anyway. 🙂

Nowhere to put luggage. No proper storage for clothes. Completely inadequate! 2 coffee pods provided over 3 days.

I guess, due to the storm, the drainage of the bathroom smelled a little annoying. But it disappeared when the storm left too.

The staff was extraorninarily friendly. They gave us un upgrade when they saw my friend´s injured foot, to have her stay more comfortably. The food was very good. I love the design of the lodge. It showed a lot of their attitude, when theyx helped several people who got caught in a bad storm outside while we were having breakfast. These people are so kind. I also liked the vicinity to the train station that took us directly to Amsterdam Central.

Here you can find a very lovely place next to the beach and to the centrum. You reach everything you need in 1 to 5 minutes. The couple who manage the hotel is so kind. A really awsome place to spend a few days/ your holidays in zandvoort. We definitely come back! .

If I was ultra, ultra picky I'd say the room was a tad small for a double. You couldn't get around one side of the bed to use the blind or change the radiator setting. Also a bedside table would be useful for putting things on when in bed i.e. a cup. As I said that is being very critical and i would definitely return.

I loved the location, the very friendly owner and accommodation was great. Richard was very welcoming and gave great advice on where to find things. I had a few days off before starting a new job and decided to go away and relax. This was perfect and well worth the price, brilliant

Sometimes we heard noise from the room above and the stairs leading up to the first floor. Payment by cash or debit card was preferred, but that was not communicated upfront. (Credit Card was also accepted then, still if something else is better for the hosts I would be happy to do it - but need to know upfront.) Recommended bike rental was not really good.

Flexibility and great communication with the hosts. Close to the beach and city centre. We enjoyed very much the balcony and the small second room to drink a coffee. The history and philosophy of the accommodation resonated very much with us: normal old local building, flexibility on times for breakfast and room cleaning.

Very friendly staff and the room we booked has a nice king size bed, which is great for couples who don't like to sleep on separate beds. The venue is located on a great spot, very close to the boulevard of Zandvoort.
