Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNowhere to hang a towel close to the sink? Heated towel rail in the toilet Thus had to walk wet from the shower room into the toilet to get a towel as there was nowhere to hang a towel up. Room seemed small had two people being staying with only one stool to sit on besides the bed.
The location was great and walking distance to the ferry to central Station. I was impressed by the idea of a coupon if the room is not made up.

SingaporeIt is lacking in some basic amenities like a kettle in the room. We do see beverage facilities available for sale at the lobby...Sometimes, all we need is just warm/hot water to get through the chilly night. Complimentary bottles of water at check-in perhaps so that we can then get our own when we are more settled into the environment. We were unsure if the tap water is potable and we were left dehydrated for a while. The staff by the reception can be more approachable. I am assuming English is perhaps not their first language, they didn't sound friendly at all when we approached the counter during check-in. First impression matters.
Although the room is very small and everything else are compacted into the space, I must highlight that the room design is witty as there are sufficient storage for a 2 night stay. The bed is very comfortable especially when it was adjusted to a slight incline. May consider changing my own bed set to something similar 😜. We had our dinner at the restaurant and was blown away by an ultra enthusiastic lady staff ( sad that I didn't get her name ☹️). She rounded up our day with a positive vibe, considering the fact we didn't felt welcome by the reception staff.

United KingdomPrice of the self service tea and coffee! Unnecessary. Getting into the centre was about a mile walk. This is fine if you don’t want to pop back to the hotel half way through the day.
Modern, clean, lovely lounge area and bar. Staff were helpful. Rooms were clever with a bed that pulls up to provide more space.

EstoniaThe nearest bus/train station is ~1.3 km away. About 18 mins to ferry by walk, 5 mins on ferry, then you are at central station. If it is rainy(consider it is holland), walking is really big problem. There is no public transportation nearer - at least google maps didn't show any nearer. Ferry is not problem, it is at every 3 mins all day. When you are at central station, then you can walk into city or get trams.
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Everything was good.

United KingdomNo tea/coffee in the room, not many vegan options to eat for breakfast and dinner.
Great little stay at YOTEL, took us about 15/20mins to reach the centre and didn’t mind the walk as seeing Amsterdam’s architecture along the way was lovely. Very quiet room with a comfy bed, only thing missing I’d say would be a kettle for tea and coffee, (you have to pay extra for this downstairs). The gym was great also! Very clean and most equipped for a good workout. Overall great hotel and would stay again.

TurkeyIt was quite far to the ferry which goes to Amsterdam Central. Around 15 min. Room was so small, no room for your clothes if you unpack. Internet was so slow in the rooms.
It was a good looking hotel. Deck is amazing when the sun is up. Room was clean.

United States of AmericaNo shuttle available. A shuttle to ferry, train and airport would be a great addition. “Smart” bed was not very comfortable. Area around hotel seemed industrial - not hotel area.
Approximately 1 mile walk to ferry that takes you to Train station. Size of room and bathroom was great. Restaurant food was good but pricey.

United States of AmericaElectronic beeping of phone as well as no way to totally dim the lights on the mirror.
Staff was very accommodating. Room was clean and very efficient. Did not give 5 star rating because phone kept making an electronic beep. It took several hours to figure out what it was. Staff finally disconnected the phone. Room is a 20 minute walk to the ferry. Bus does come, but make sure to board the correct #38. It's the one that starts with a "B".

United States of AmericaThe location on the North bank is not ideal. It’s about a mile walk through residential and commercial neighborhoods to get to the ferry, which fortunately is frequent and free. The train station and Amsterdam city center and everything else is on the South bank, so it’s a good hike and a ferry ride back and forth to the hotel.
Very nice modern hotel. Rooms are small but space is very thoughtfully used, very clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and attentive and breakfast and dining, while not cheap was excellent, especially the coffee!

CanadaThe location was a little out of the way from downtown Amsterdam and it can be hard to get car ride shares to accept rides from this location. However ferry very close by that takes you right into the city.
I liked the room, the beds, lighting, and the tech in the room was awesome. It was clean and comfy and perfect size for just sleeping and exploring the city. Also loved the incentive to not have your room cleaned by giving credit to the restaurant so smart and great for the people that aren't messy and do not need your room cleaned everyday.
