The swimming pool!!! It is amazing to have the chance of doing some exercise indoors while traveling. The whole building is beautiful keeping the old style outside but completely renovated inside. The staff also is great and willing to help all the time.

Because everything is white it’s a little worn out already, i.e. floor, not a huge problem definitely, but just does not feel as cool as on the pictures. As many people wrote before there are no hooks near the shower, only one tiny thing that does not actually hold a towel. The hotel has a pool which is a cool thing but somehow in our room, which was 2 floors above the pool, you could still feel this chlorine smell a little and the air was generally stuffy. The AC does help, but it blows right on the bed so you won’t be able to have it on at night. The top shower head was mouldy, there was another shower head you can use, which was clean, but still.

Great location, close to everything but still in a calm street. 15 min walk to the central station. Cool that you can check-in rather early compared to other places and leave your luggage in the hotel before the check in time. There’s an option to check in and out online without wasting time with felling out some documents. Super nice staff. Comfy bed (yes, soft-ish, but comfy). If you’re staying for 1-2 nights and not planning on being in the room a lot, it’s a good place to stay.

We're initially allocated a loft apartment that we didn't like because of the stairs to the sleeping level but the owner of Zenden changed the room for us the next day. This was a great apartment with views of the river. The apartments are modern, spacious and well appointed.

A thing to note that I might’ve overlooked is that you need to climb a very steep staircase to access your room. There is no lift. So if carrying heavy luggage or if you’re a bit on the older side/not fit, it might be a challenge coming and going.

Nice to have a fairly large (for Europe) sized apartment to stay in. Mini fridge, two plate stove, mini dishwasher to use.

My only complaint was that of the two pillows, one was extremely thick and uncomfortable, I'm sure I could have asked for it to be changed, but I didn't, but it did make sleep difficult!

Wish there were hanging hooks for towels. I don't understand why there were zero hooks in the room. How are we supposed to hang our towels after use?

Location was excellent. Staff was polite and helpful. There were exercise classes available for guests to join. The instructor was superb. Only problem was that the exercise studio was leaking during one of the classes and the instructor had to scramble to get pails to contain the leak. The owner quickly came down to try and deal with the problem.

Unfortunately the hotel doesn't serve breakfast anymore (I was here before when they still did). They provide some suggestions though, but those open at 10:00, so less suitable if you want to make an early start while travelling. Overall still excellent choice.

A very friendly reception lady and cleaning team and a clean and spaceous room. It has everything you need, although sometimes well hidden within the interior; I only discovered there was a mini bar when I left. There is a nice indoor pool. The location of the hotel is very central for discovering Maastricht. Public (paid) parking is at walking distance.
