Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe picture of the room has a fan but there was no fan in our room, which would have been appreciated so as not to sleep with the AC all night. There is a water problem in El Nido so the water comes out brown, pretty disgusting but not just this hotel’s problem. I highly suggest not brushing your teeth or cleaning your face with tap water. The hotel provides free drinking water.
The balcony with garden view was nice. We were able to rent a motorbike with the hotel. They let us leave our big luggage there for one night while we were in Darocotan island.

ItalyIt was just outdated, especially the bathroom.
The location is perfect if you want to avoid the traffic and the chaos in El Nido, it is just a 10 minutes ride to where all the tours leave from. The property is on a side street of the main road and basically attached to Coron Coron beach, a little gem which is almost always deserted. Beth is extremely nice!

TaiwanThe bathroom was too small. The IC was very loud. The staff told us they will come clean the room every 2 days but they didn't. Then all my family felt ill so I asked them not to come. My kids ended up throwing up on the mattresses and we cleaned the room ourselves. :(
I like how close it is to the Corong Corong beach. The family room we stayed at has a very small bathroom, which was kind of inconvenient but my kids really enjoyed the double decker.

AustraliaThe room that we stayed in needs some urgent plumbing attention. The water was not working for most of the two days we were there. Staff said it had been fixed at one stage... But it stopped running again after 20 minutes. Old style air conditioner was difficult to get right
Location is good.

United States of AmericaPlace is older, water pressure in shower was horrible. Water from faucet and shower was brown and smelled like rotten eggs. Toilet didn’t flush very well. There was some construction for some Survivor show right across the path from us. Woke up at 7am every mornin to hammering, saws going, banging and lasted ALL DAY every day.
Staff was friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Close to Corong Corong beach. Room was very clean, no bugs or anything like that.

ItalyThe list will unfortunately be quite long: - The room is not cosy at all. It is neglected. The ceiling crumbles, the mattress is not there, there is only a layer of Foam. The bathroom lacks a shelf for soaps. There is no armchair, or hanger, or hook, or drawers that would make the room tidier. Rather there is an armchair that takes up space and makes no sense. We had unpacked luggage and had clothes everywhere all the time. The sheets are made of plastic, I understand that they dry sooner once washed but sleeping on them is a nightmare, I asked to them to replace the bedsheets and they gave us plastic ones again which fortunately were slightly better. From the owner I expect minimal expense for these little things that make a difference. -In 7 nights they emptied our bins and changed our breakfast cups only once and only because I asked for. I understand that this is not a 5 star hotel but a minimum of attention was expected. -The running water stinks and stains your clothes if you try to rinse them, I would advise against it. The shower pressure in the evening is not enough to wash yourself, you have to ask to increase the pressure each time. -The air-conditioning cannot be kept on at night because it is very noisy, plus it either freezes or you die of heat. -This is not the fault of the facility, but in front of the accommodation someone is building something, so early in the morning work starts and noise from construction machines. This place is worth less than 32€ per night.
We stayed at Alfa Garden Lodge for a week. So I can say that my review will be quite objective given the long stay. The strengths of this accommodation are: -The location. The beach is only 70 metres away where there are all the restaurants and bars. -The staff is very friendly, welcoming and smiling. -The room was clean

SpainThis would have been a totally average experience in a simple little hut if it wasn’t for a series of unfortunate events that took place in the evening of our only day at the accommodation. After 20:00 the wifi went away completely. The network was there, but there was no connection at all. We went to the reception of the other establishment from where we got the keys, but there was no-one there. We waited, we called, and no-one showed up. We sent sms to both contact numbers (the reception and Alfa lodge itself) and no-one replied. We kept going every now and then to the main reception but it was completely unattended. This would not have been a big deal if we would not be depending on this wifi for calls and errands before a 4-day no internet expedition. :(. Here the issue is that we saw that NOONE was keeping an eye on the facilities or the guests, whatever might happen. Then, while sleeping, in the middle of the night we were woken up by a strong banging noise outside of our window that kept repeating after several minutes. When we went out, we saw that the noise was actually coming from a bunch of mismanaged cables right next to our hut. The cables were literally sparkling electricity, that would every time fall on the straw surfaces. That was really not appropriate and is unsafe. We spend the night half sleep half awake thinking that the constant electricity sparkles might catch fire.
The location is good, next to Corong-Corong beach. It was easy to find the reception even if it belongs to a different establishment. The hutitself was nice, with the very basic appliances and a small terrace to sit.

GermanyThe check-in was not good. It was difficult to find the location and there was no one at the reception. Our simcard was not supported in the area, so it was difficult to reach them. And while checking in, the staff didn't explain us anything about the room or the facilities, except turning off the lights and AC while leaving. It is difficult to get fresh air in the room because of the lack of proper windows. The area is hot and humid in general anyway. AC works well but impossible to adjust the temperature, so you end up alternating between too cold and too hot. The sink was clogged when we came in and the water for the shower is not always warm and it has not enough pressure. Also, we went there probably at the peak time that was new year's eve and it was quite expensive for what it offers. But I cannot give a proper comparison with other hotels nearby. It seems like El Nido is expensive in general. For the price we paid (~38 euro / night), the place doesn't satisfy the expectations.
It looks like a small place run by women. They were friendly. We went through food poisoning while staying there and they were very helpful. One of them even went to a Pharmacy for us. The internet is exceptionally fast. The location is near Corong corong beach and many restaurants. You can reach El Nido town in 5 minutes with a tuktuk. Because it is in between many other buildings, it is away from the noise of the street. It is also next to the hospital in case something bad happens :)

PhilippinesNone that I could think of.
The place is strategically located close to the beach in Brgy. Corong-Corong, and you can swim anytime you like! The staff are very welcoming. They allowed us to use the kitchen and there's even complementary coffee and tea. The room was clean, and feels just like home. Will definitely stay here again when I get back to El Nido!
