Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing!
We decided to stay here due to the amazing reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the owners were also around and took the time to talk to us plenty of times, answering any questions about the area. The property itself feels like its own little haven! We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was lovely. No aircon although you don’t need it, the rooms were quite cool and the fan worked fine. The food was also great, we ate at the restaurant most nights. Also breakfast was very nice, and you are able to have your included breakfast at any time- for example if you were out in the morning too early to have breakfast but came back at 12pm, you would still be able to have breakfast at the restaurant if you ask. I Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area

PhilippinesTime flies by imperceptibly in this place, we regretted that we could not stay longer)
We spent a wonderful weekend here, we were pleasantly surprised, the place does not look like an ordinary hotel! The cottage we lived in was very cozy, with everything you need! The territory and nature are simply fascinating, there are many trails for walking, educational signs about birds, plants, etc. You find yourself as if on another island away from the hustle and bustle. I recommend kayaking with a guide along a unique route, it's very beautiful! After an active holiday, we liked to meet the sunset on the cliff in armchairs, and then visit the restaurant with a varied menu and local fish (and not only), which will be prepared for you while you admire nature

RussiaThe hotel is beautiful and even a work of art in its own way. Simon and Alain put their soul into it and, I think, this is not so much a business for them, but a part of their life. They managed to combine a limited budget and attention to the smallest details so that the price per night in the hotel is affordable for everyone and at the same time you don’t even want to go outside, you just want to be there and chill: the relaxed atmosphere of this place encourages this

TaiwanI highly recommend staying at Eskapo Verde if you are looking for a beautiful, calm, jungle green escape in nature. It has a great location. Very close to Moalboal where there is a lot to do as well as to the Kawasan falls and hike to Osmena peak. Amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at the restaurant surrounded by the mangroves and view of the sea. The dorm rooms are spacious, comfortable beds. Bathrooms and rooms very clean. The owners were very kind and friendly they gave me a lot of recommendations. I wish I could have stayed more than 2 nights!

PolandWonderful location, the eco-awareness of the owners, the boardwalk leading to the facility makes you wonder about environment. Perfect silence, birds chirping as you wake up. The cottages are perfectly designed, made of local materials (wood, reed and bamboo) and are just what you need. A huuuuge shoutout to the kitchen staff for their effort! The menu is awesome and so local! The activities they organized for us were spot-on. Finally the owners- Simon and Alain- just thank you, guys!

GermanyThe accommodation maintains impeccable cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay for guests. Although a bit removed from the town center, Escapo Verde's location boasts tranquility and natural beauty. The surrounding area is picturesque, offering a peaceful escape from the urban hustle. The food, especially the breakfast, is delicious. The owner and staff epitomize hospitality, going above and beyond to cater to guests' needs. Overall: Escapo Verde is the ideal choice for those seeking a tranquil retreat away from the town center. The highlight of the stay is the charming bamboo pathway leading to the complex, reminiscent of a journey through a lush mangrove forest. If you crave a peaceful getaway with attentive service and delicious cuisine, Escapo Verde is the place to be in Moalboal.

United KingdomMy partner said the bed could be improved but not major issue.
I love how the cottages were built. The location for us was very unique in the middle of all green. The location was perfect if you want to relax and be with the nature. We met both owners and we really appreciate that they both care about the environment and do things the right way. The foods were amazing, felt and tasted home cooked.

The room is clean & beautiful with a private balcony and the restaurant of the hotel has a variety of traditional homemade delicious dishes. Everything! If what you are searching for is a little paradise, with adorable personnel, fair prices, excellent food, in the middle of the mangroves; then don't search any further and book a room in eskapo verde. More than just a Hotel, it's a little paradise Buble owned by two wonderful Men. They did think about everything for your comfort. The bedroom is well equipped : a nice terrace, electric plugs close to the bed, a ventilator (no worries AC aren't needed as the light wind coming from ashore and the shade of the trees provide an agreeable breeze and atmosphere that gonna make you sleep like a baby) the shower does have hot water, bathroom is really clean and spacious. The restaurant is also wonderful, with many flavors and food that is gonna make you wake up at night wishing you'd eat even more the next day. Doing kayak or paddle in the mangroves is absolutely a must do for your travel and eskapo verde is THE place to enjoy it. The place is quiet and you will even be able to enjoy wonderful wildlife, such as birds, geko, fireflies, several species of crabs and of course all what comes with the mangroves ecosystem. (No worries ladies the animals and insect will not bother you, as the bedroom is well equipped with mosquito nets) Alain and Simon are two wonderful Men with who, if you are willing, will be more than enjoying speaking with. What more to say ? There aren't enough words to describe what eskapo Verde is so rather than doing a huge monologue, I will simply say : Go there, make sure to even book a whole week as then you'll enjoy this place even more. Of course just staying even at night can make you feel like having a GREAT holiday. Please note also that the restaurant is a MUST do as the quality of service, the quality of the food and the ambiance is such a wonderful thing!

IrelandArriving at first seems a bit tricky, as the place is outside the town but after first arrival the next times it is easy. Most of taxis/buses know the place,
Everything was great about this place. When arriving you go through a beautiful bamboo bridge and feel like you're entering another world. You are greeted by a welcoming host, who explains and answers everything you need. I was the only guest staying in this property but it didn't stop the staff from providing the highest service. The place has an amazing restaurant with local dishes, located next to the water with a fantastic view to the sea and mountains. The owner of the place is superfriendly and gave great advice on activities to do around and tips on further travels. I was just planning to stay one night there but ended up for 3, which was the best choice.

BulgariaI only have superlatives about this place! It's all about nature - lush green, right next to the water, amidst the mangroves, owned and managed by people who really care about the protection of this unique environment. Calm, quite and relaxing, but still in a strategic location, close to some of the main sightseeings in Cebu. Great to marvel at the sunset or the scenic hills around. It's spotless clean and well maintained. The owners are lovely, fast to answer any questions and provide useful information. The food in the restaurant is amazing and so is the stand up paddle (or kayak) tour around the mangroves that they offer, so don't miss any of them! Thank you for the lovely stay - it was one of our highlights in Cebu!
