Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We used it as a transit accommodation whilst travelling back from other parts of Cebu. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had booked 2 rooms (family of 5) and appreciated that they had placed the rooms next to each other. Hotel is very near the Ayala Centre mall (walking distance). Catching a Grab back from the mall was a breeze. Also very easy to get a Grab to the airport from this location.

Our safety deposit box wasn't working in room 608. Our room.is close.to the street so it's a little loud. And it doesn't have a pool.
The place is central in Cebu. The staff are all kind and professional. Always ready and available to assist whatever we need. The food at the Rabbit Hole changes daily. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Double room was very small (okay if you don’t have a lot of luggage but for a couple and baby with two suitcases it was too tight). Also don’t ask reception to call any transfers for you… we paid 500peso for a 7 seater to the IT park which was 10 mins away, on the way home booked the same size car through grab and only paid 180peso.
Staff were very nice and we liked the buffet breakfast each morning. My other family members stayed in a deluxe triple room which was very spacious and comfortable and had nice views.

Limited parking.

Every place in Phillipines looks cleaner in the pictures than in real life, do not expect too much

Our room had no view, basically facing a concrete wall and an aircon. Looked fancier than it was, but all ok for 1 night stay.

The food. There wasn't many options for Vegan/Vegetarian. The night shift manager needs more training in his way of addressing customer. The night shift manager was not nice, he had no business working in such friendly environment
I love the friendliness of the staff. I love the housekeeping service, I love that it was quite and I was Left along. I appreciate my stay

Windows are ceiling to floor which is lovely in say Norway but not in the tropics so curtains have to remain closed all day. Breakfastchoice was limited

Window covered by outside wall. No view of city, dark room without lights on. Asked for alternative but told all rooms have walls outside window??? Not cheap, disappointed.

Bathroom sink broken (without draining). Nevertheless, it was the best bathroom of all the hotels during our stay in the Philippines. Exterior walking access somewhat dangerous, with many unfinished pedestrian sidewalks full of rubble, metal rods and cars driving very close. I guess like everywhere else in Cebu city.
Clean in general, breakfast is not bad, good bed and aircon. There is a convenience store very close on the other side of the road with cold drinks and many other stuff.

Nothing really. Maybe the room can be a little small for a long stay.
We only stayed one night so I can't comment on the breakfast "variety" or other stuff that you can only really value after a few days. - Breakfast was good, serving the purpose. - Good location if you want to stay near some services (restaurants, shopping mall). - Helpful staff
