Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe booked this place because we wanted to have a few days off and two quiet nights, which didn't happen. The last night, locals were in the kitchen after midnight talking loudly, and they didn't care that people were trying to sleep. We told them to lower their voices, and eventually, they did. The following morning, before 7 AM, there were people with loud music watching TikTok right outside our bungalow and not caring that people were asleep. It would be nice if they have kind of "rules" for guests and locals to respect!
The owners are lovely and really make you feel welcome. The place is located far away from the main road, meaning that it's quiet. The toilet and shower are shared but super clean. There is a communal kitchen that you can use, and they also provide water refills.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately I only had time to stay for one night at this beautiful place. This accomendation is just perfect and the two hosts, Jean and Lhoy, are wonderful people. Location is perfect, very close to the chocolate hills in a peacful neighbourhood. Can highly recommend!

United KingdomJust a suggestion, it would be nice to have a side table and mirror in the room. Also maybe fix the lock in the toilet.
Lhoy and Jean were really lovely and hospitble. Jean was very attentive to our needs and cooked amazing local food with affordable price. Lhoy can help you with your itinerary if you haven't got one. He also provides tour packages and will be your own tour guide. The "bahay kubo" was nice and basic. If you like to experience the provincial Filipino life their place is perfect! You can hear the crickets, geckos, and frogs at night and the roosters in the morning. They don't have hot water for shower but the weather is too hot you wouldn't want a warm shower! The garden was amazing. Lots of orchids and other fruit bearing trees. They're place is about 3-4 kms from Chocolate Hills and Adventure Park. It is also near the public market.

A wonderful hostel with the kindest owners I’ve met in Asia! Lhoy drove us in his little Tuk Tuk to catch the sunset at his secret spot and then drove us the the chocolate hills complex to catch the sunrise which was beautiful and also empty of tourists! His wife Jean cooked us tasty meals and the place was full of fun and laughter! A backpackers dream 🙏

SlovakiaThe only thing is the army of roosters in the neighbourhood. They start doing noise at 3:30 am every single day. So better buy very good earplugs :D
Awesome stay! I must say that the pics were not too much appealing at first, but when I saw the reviews I told myself that I must try it! Owners are very lovely. We used to have a grear dinner with other backpackers for 200 pesos. I met great people there and it is close to the chocolate hills. It is possible to rent a bike as well, if you want to explore the further locations.

New ZealandStubbing my little toe and losing a toenail - lol ...which our hosts aided in repaing using a local remedy until a bottle of iodine was fetched.
The hostel is nestled amongst a small rural community providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of busier centres. We enjoyed the bungalow experience, it was a pleasant closer to earth moment allowing the sounds of nature (crickets, lizards & gekos) to lull us to sleep. By day, I highly recommend renting a motorcycle if you're a rider, to zip around the various tourist spots or other hidden gems... The hosts have abundant local knowledge of the tours and when is best to enjoy them. Our hosts were very accommodating, friendly and socialable ensuring our stay was everything we hoped it would be. The meals are second to none, local cuisine at its best! - We've made a life long connection with Lhoy, Jean and Alvie :-) This is a simple grounding stay, one we will do again in the future, cannot recommend enough but do consider a stay longer than 3 nights in order to fit in the many activities.

GermanyThe hosts are so nice and provide breakfast and dinner for you were you sit down with the other guest. I really had a familiar feeling there because it’s not a big place so you know everybody who is staying there. You get everything what you can see online on the pictures- it’s simple but still comfortable! The surrounding is beautiful so you can rent a scooter there to get around, but if you don’t want to drive Lhoy is going to drive you!

Wonder Phillipio family, amazing home cook meals, fabulous central Bohol location, affordable, and all Good. They also have access to an amazing sunset/sunrise tall hill overlooking chocolate hills! It's better than the government complex and without the tourists! If in Bohol come here for a great Filipino family cultural experience! Stay HUMBLE and Curtious in Phillipines, and these wonderful people will admit nothing but love.

Lovely host, Jean will take care of you and make you feel like home. She cooked the best dinner I have had in Philippines. Place is even more beautiful than in pictures and the shared room was so cute. Toilet and shower are outside but they were everytime shiny clean! I recommend the sunset hike with hosts! This place is far from crowds but in a perfect location if you want to explore the countryside of Bohol.

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed! Lhoy and Jean are so kind. They help you with everything, where to go, what to see. Jeans food is delicious. We had a day spent with Lhoy taking us to his locals lookout of the Chocolate hills and he took us sightseeing for the day. It was awesome. The room itself is so comfortable, the gardens beautifully kept, kitchen well equipped and bathrooms were great! Thank you so much.

IndiaI loved everything.
It was probably my favourite stay in the Philippines. Both Lhoy and Jean are exceptional hosts. Lhoy taught me how to ride a scooty and I can’t have the words to describe how grateful I feel. Jean makes the best food and will make sure you are always well fed. I really felt at home and would definitely come back to stay again. Thank you so much for the hospitality and a warm stay.

LatviaNo really, completely nothing to complain about. I wish I could stay for longer.
Staying in this hostel itself is a great experience! In the middle of countryside, fresh air, birds, great meals. Jhoy and Jean are excellent hosts. They accepted us as part of family, took us to family parties, cooked us great meals, showed around, tool to hidden secret places... I was staying in a bungalow, and all facilities a traveler could need were available. If you need anything - a guide, a scooter,a tuctuc, early breakfast or any other help, just ask them!

My favourite hostel in over 6 months of travelling! Lhoy and Jean are such welcoming hosts, always helpful and doing everything they can to ensure you have a brilliant stay! It felt like a home for the 3 nights I stayed there and I particularly enjoyed everyone coming together in the evening to eat (always delicious) home-cooked dinner like a family and get an early night. The dorm is open to outside, so you feel like you’re in the garden (which also means you may get woken up by the neighbours’ cockerels in the early morning, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper).
