Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, spotless and comfortable. We had breakfast included which was delicious. We ate in the restaurant for dinner quite a few nights and the food was fresh and very tasty. The fridge in the room was very useful to keep water and snacks in. Having laundry washed is easy and cheap. Beach towels can be borrowed daily from reception. Treatments at the spa are available to residents at 20% discount. Collectively we used the spa for 12 hours in our fortnight holiday. They are very cheap prices compared to UK and much better. Tuk tuk’s are great to travel around. Cheap and easy to use. The main D Mall shopping centre is approximately 30 walk from resort. Many diverse places to eat. Lots of shops with a busy friendly atmosphere. We hired a Tuk tuk for an afternoon to travel round. The driver was our guide and a great way to see the sights. The resort staff helped book a sunset boat trip. This left from Station 1 pontoon. Short trip from the shore there was live music. Once anchored out at sea we were able to use the stand up paddle boards, kayaks, inflatables and snorkels in the clear water. Coral Reeves below with beautiful fishes to see. Then as music flowed and the sunset set beautiful. Very calm, very relaxing and many memories to take away. If you require medical treatment there is a medical centre less than 100mtrs from the resort. They speak very good English and the prices are very cheap for treatment and medicine. There are steps from the guardhouse down to a road which goes down the side of the resort to the beach for use by residents. It takes less than 10 mins to walk to White Beach. When there if you head right it is busier and lots of people and hassle and bustle. If you were to go left it is quieter and less people so there’s a place for everyone. The beach is beautiful, the water crystal clear and warm. Mandala Spa Resort is a fabulous location, quiet and tranquil. 5 Stars.

NetherlandsEverything was perfect.
Best and most luxurious stay I've ever had (in the Philippines and beyond). What a treat. The villa is so beautiful, with its big comfortable bed, elegant and traditional decor, glorious bathroom with a tub and outdoor shower. Even though the island is beautiful, we loved staying in and coming home. All villas are separated from each other, so you enjoy full privacy inside. No noise from neighbours. There's just an atmosphere of peacefulness in the air. The terrain of the resort is completely filled with lush green plants and trees. It's like staying in a jungle, but luxuriously. The restaurant serves great food, with plenty of options for vegetarians. It's a great place to have meals outside of the busyness of Boracay's center. The staff is outstanding. The kindest and most helpful I've come across in my travels. Very humble and polite too. We thank them for their warmth. The price / quality ratio was also great. We visited some friends at another resort in Station 1, which was multiple times more expensive than Mandala, and honestly we preferred our peaceful resort much more...

DenmarkAreas for Improvement: Operational Challenges: Our stay was significantly affected by a series of operational issues. The most distressing was the air conditioning in our room not working for the first five days. Despite our repeated complaints, the response from management was disappointing, forcing us to seek accommodation elsewhere. Plumbing and Water Supply Issues: The resort's plumbing and water supply were unreliable, with frequent disruptions and toilets that continuously ran. These issues detracted from our comfort and overall experience. Lack of Communication Regarding Beach Closure: The closure of the beach, one of the anticipated highlights of our stay, was not communicated beforehand. This lack of transparency was disappointing and impacted our stay negatively. Management's Attitude: While the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible, it seemed the resort's management was less inclined to address the operational issues we faced. This discrepancy between the efforts of the staff and the apparent disinterest of the management was a notable concern. In conclusion, while Mandala Spa & Resort Villas offers a beautiful setting and exceptional staff that significantly enhance the guest experience, it is crucial for the management to address the operational challenges to ensure that all guests enjoy a uniformly positive experience.
Positive Aspects: Exceptional Staff: The most significant asset of Mandala Spa & Resort Villas is its staff. Their unparalleled dedication and kindness make a substantial positive impact on the guest experience. The warmth and professionalism exhibited by every team member we interacted with truly set this resort apart, highlighting a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Superb Location: The resort boasts an enviable location that potentially ranks it among the top accommodations on the island. Its setting offers guests a unique blend of tranquility and beauty, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a serene getaway. Outstanding Spa Facility: The spa at Mandala is a standout feature, offering a wide range of treatments designed to rejuvenate and relax. This facility enhances the overall appeal of the resort, emphasizing wellness and relaxation as core experiences for guests.

PhilippinesThey don't have direct access to the beach that you have to go out of the resort and take few walks going to the beach. The staff missed to refill my water and coffee on the second day but they made it up to me on the 3rd day.
The place is so serene. It's the most quiet part of Boracay.

NetherlandsStaff was friendly but bit unnatural and want to make you pay for everything. We were even accused of taking away mozzie spray. Really?? Massage prices are more than double from what you pay elsewhere on the island at very decent respectable places.
The villa's are superb, with spacious out- and indoor bathroom. The resort is calm and lots of green. Not even 5 mins away from the beach.

United KingdomBreakfast is quite expensive if it’s not included in your booking. No pool, no beach access, (we knew this when booking, will not be downgrading rating for that) and only 10-15metres from local housing behind tall bamboo fences and some greenery ( which isn’t a problem until there’s karaoke at 11pm! The hotel looked into this, it was birthday party and a one-off, so actually fine. Again, not the property at fault, but there is a lot of wind at night on Boracay island, which means that if you are unlikely, large branches etc will fall on your hut roof and wake you up! Only noting this as it happened on the other 2 nights we were there.
Stunning property all over. From the lovely long, lit entrance to the huge private huts and outside showers. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday, the resort is beautiful - to be expected for the price you’re paying.

GermanyNo block out curtains, as the windows are massive here there was no way to block out the light coming in. Eye mask is an absolute must for light sleepers. The mattress was comfy but we both found that the pillows were very firm and we both got stiff necks and had restless sleeps, we did ask for softer pillows but none were available. The water pressure was weird. The toilet kept making the noise you get when the toilet isn’t properly flushed. No actual hot water for bath, it was constantly Luke warm, was fine for the shower but the bath disappointed. The site tuk tuk is not free, one way only. The restaurant food was average but there was some stand out dishes, yellow curry, Mandala Spa breakfast and the chicken salad was delicious.
We stayed in Villa 10. The room was fantastic and the view we had was great. We got to see the sunset and beach. The decor really did give us a sense of privacy and honeymoon vibes and was beautifully decorated with flowers! The music was legit played almost the entire time we were in our villa, this absolutely gave a sense of serenity and peace. This is the best place to relax and unwind! The birds and wildlife around the villa definitely gave the forest isolation atmosphere. The massage was fantastic! The day spa was so beautiful and I wish we had not had massages in room. Mozzie spray was also provided but we never had any issues with them. Location is great, not too far to Boracay main beach.

United KingdomNot necessarily the property’s fault, but the airport pickup was a confusing. There are quite a few public transport operators who have relationships with the hotels, so there is a chance of you going with the wrong transport if you aren’t paying attention. The property was gracious about it all!
Absolutely stunning property! The photos don’t do it justice at all. The rooms are large and gorgeous, the outdoor shower is fun and if you appreciate a good tub, then this is the place for you. The spa was also otherworldly and the staff could not do enough to make you comfortable.

United States of AmericaLOVED the property and the staff tremendously, and the land on the hill, tucked away in the trees was beautiful. Only reason why I deducted here at all is due to the noise from development that seems to be going on just next door. It wasn’t too terrible, & wouldn’t deter me in the slightest from returning… and also just seems to be happening island wide. And, my villa just happened to be located rt on the edge of the property But it did, very occasionally, burst the bubble

PhilippinesI super liked everything!
This is really the best hotel in Boracay I've ever stayed at! Seriously the room is huge and is so peaceful that I had perfect relaxation during my stay. They've set up an epsom bath for me in the tub and gosh it was so relaxing with the facial mist the flowers the cold towel it was so perfect! They also set up for me a full massage package in my room the massage was so good I was half asleep the whole time. I super love the outdoor shower I just can't believe how nice the whole place is. All guests know how to keep the whole area peaceful and calm you won't hear any loud noise from the other villas. The breakfast here was so good you can have them in your room while enjoying the garden view from the spacious balcony. The staff here really are the best in Boracay. They are so nice, attentive, polite, all well trained in hospitality. In terms of location, I'd say I don't mind the short walk to the beach in Station 3 since the moment you reach the beach you're already at the best swimming spot in Station 3. The depth of the water is so perfect, the sand so fine, and it's not as crowded as the swimming areas in Stations 2 and 1. I always enjoyed walking from the beach to Mandala as you will instantly feel the calm coming from the busy scene in Station 2 as you entered the street leading up to the resort. You can be partying loud at the bars in Station 2 and in 10 minutes you'll find peace and calm walking back to the resort. Despite having your own villa, the wifi worked perfectly and you can easily order food or drinks from their restaurant using the phone beside your bed.
