Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United Arab EmiratesNothing to do with the property, but difficult to move around by yourself due to dirt road.
Fantastic stay at Playa Encantada! The remote location let you disconnect from El Nido town crowds. The entire staff is very helpful, welcoming and reactive. The fresh food cooked by the family is spectacular. Highly recommending it. Special thanks to Vanessa.

Secluded, far away from El Nido Tourism, lovely stuff, Vanessa and the family take care of you in a very friendly and happy way, amazing food, beautiful beach with shade in the afternoon. It is a experience especially for animal lovers.

United States of AmericaRochelle, the owner, was incredible! Kind, funny and genuine. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even arranging transport for our 2:00 am late arrival. She booked us a tour and made special arrangements for us to get back as our tour ran late. The food was all freshly cooked and so delicious! We especially loved the shrimp coconut soup! 😋. The setting is idyllic, away from the craziness of El Nido town. The white sand beach and the soft lull of falling asleep to the sound of the ocean added to our favorite stay in the Philippines!

United KingdomNothing! Wish we could have stayed longer.
This was the best place we stayed at during our 2 weeks trip. The location is amazing, it was exactly what we wanted - you are on a small island, there are only 3 bungalows, so it felt very private. We were right next to the sea, there was a beautiful garden there, palm trees, animals and a lots of space to hang around. The bungalow is comfortable, it had everything we needed. It’s also beautifully decorated, everything is very well thought through in case we needed anything (lamp, books in the drawer etc). It was really clean and we had housekeeping every day. Very very pretty room! A piece of art as for me :) Rochelle was so genuine and friendly, she runs the place very professionally. We had a great chat with her, she had given us some tips as to what we can do and see and just in general we learnt a bit about Filipino life. There is literally nothing close by so we ate at Rochelle’s place but we were aware this will be the case and we thought the food was excellent, good value for money. It was various, fresh, healthy, good portions, and we were able to try Filipino dishes. It was excellent as well as how the food was presented and how much attention we had received from the stuff. Rochelle can also organise the popular A B C D tours if needed. There is an opportunity to visit Daracotan island - it was a 15 min boat trip, it was a great experience. There is a ship wreck you can see, beautiful sea life, sandy beach.

United KingdomNothing in particular. You can hear animal noises at night so it’s worth having ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, but it didn’t bother us!

Lithuaniaour stay was too short 🙈
We spend only 3 nights, but this was the best experience ever. Surroundings are so tranquil and special. Nature is wild and free. Lovely family which runs this resort made us feel so welcoming. We felt more like a family than costumers. Best hospitality, best food, people and atmosphere. This is the right place for your body and soul. Even our 2year old boy still remembers that few days there. And now we exacly know the place for our honeymoon. I will definitely spend a month in this place next time. And at first we didnt have big plans to come back to Phillipines soon (not because of Phillipines, just there are so many places to visit) Big thanks for everyone, that made our vacation so special. Best wishes! Looking forward for coming back:) we really miss everyone and everything there.

LatviaI would recommend staying there for a few nights in a row since the remote location. We did have some plans to move around during our stay to do island hopping but the time and cost of going to El Nido would not be worth it. If you come to Encantada Playa, no need to plan anything else.
First impressions are everything- after a pretty long and bumpy day on the road we were quite tired but as we arrived on the beach near Playa Encantada there were people RUNNING with big SMILES on their faces approaching us- what a welcome! 🤗❤️ The beach location is far from most tourism places and took some time to get there but as we came there we decided to stay the entire three days on the property instead of doing the island hopping tour as we planned before. Total relaxation! This place is quiet, great sandy beach, the best staff (I will remember Vanessa’s smile every day, and her family was super helpful! Always running to make the place clean and comfortable 👌) and owners- Rochelle and Alberto were great to talk to and made super good local food from fresh produce. Loved it! Lovely animals on the property and cosy places to read a book in silence. And the best mango-banana shakes we’ve ever had🙌 The bast views during sunrise and when the night is clear- the thousands of stars you can see! Amazing!

MaltaNothing! It was our first time in Palawan and we were a bit far from the city where they organise the tours. Location is perfect for peace and quiet - we are definitely coming back. ❤️
We liked everything about Playa Encantada! The bungalows are great and spacious. We had the terrace facing the ocean where we see the sun and moon rise. During our stay we had the beach to ourselves and it was so peaceful and quiet.

United States of AmericaThis place is perfect! There are just 3 cabins and a huge stretch of uninhabited beach. It's off the grid so don't expect wifi or anything like that. Rochelle and her staff are so friendly and accommodating, I felt like part of the family. And the dogs are too cute, especially Brownie the puppy. Their authentic Filipino food is all organic, locally sourced, and absolutely delicious. The property is on the other side of Palawan about 45 minutes from El Nido so it's a perfect, tranquil getaway from the crowds.

Playa Encantada is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Firstly, the location is superb. It is only accessible by boat, so it's really private. The beach is so quiet it almost feels private, and there is a coral reef where you can snorkel and swim right outside your door. The view is excellent, and it is perfect if you're looking for rest and relaxtion. Rochelle and Alberto are also fantastic hosts, really interesting and excellent cooks! They made us beautiful food throughout the day, and the serving staff were really friendly.

United KingdomThis place felt truly like a dream. Peaceful place, no tourists, cafes or restaurants , the closest village is 30min walking on the beach and is full of smiling locals. If you need to recharge and just be surrounded by nature, this place will provide all you need and much more than that . It is needed to mention that Rochelle's cooking was incredible and we couldn't wait for every other meal. The ladies working there are the nicest and Alberto is really helpful and fun companion to be around. I really wish we could stay forever! What a find. I am pretty sure we will be back, With love, Lucy&Paul
