The only thing you should be aware of is that the location is a little outside of the main town. We did walk to the town which is like 25 mins but with the heat it’s really uncomfortable so the next times we took a scooter or hired a trycical.

We really enjoyed our time here! The staff is incredibly nice and as there are not many rooms they take really good care of you without it being uncomfortable! We even met the owners and had a nice chat with them. The rooms are very cute and the outside bathroom is beautiful. Everything was clean and well maintained. They help you arrange activities and in the evening you can ask for a movie night or bonefire night which was sooo romantic and you don’t have to pay anything ;). They don’t have a restaurant but offer a few snacks and stuff that will definitely be enough. The breakfast was the best we had! Sooo good!

30 minute walk from the centre of Moalboal but would be much faster with a bike. As we are out in nature there are lots of animal noises such as stray dogs barking through the night.

Very clean property and the accommodation was so comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and communal area. Delicious breakfast and staff were great.

My husband and I started off our honeymoon here and of the 5 places we stayed at in the Philippines, this was by far our favorite. The location is a bit of a walk from the town but we loved that since it meant it was quiet and secluded. We rented a scooter from them so the distance didn't matter to us. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay there special. The breakfast was delicious. We loved all the touches like the gardens and the hammocks everywhere that made it truely feel like paradise. The fire pit and outdoor movie screen we could use was an extra touch I haven't seen anywhere else.

Nitpicks: - fans are too industrial-like (noisy and blowing too much) - had to ask for an extra blanket (the one provided was too thin and small) - bathroom rug was missing (we had to use one of our towels) - very limited breakfast options for long-term guests

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tongo Hills Cottages, and were blown away by this hidden gem. From the incredible mountain views to the warm hospitality (Zenia, Rosalie, Ate Marcel, the owners-Caroline...everyone!), our time at Tongo exceeded every expectation. We stayed in one of the cozy bahay kubos 'Adelfa', which featured beautiful native hardwood details, bamboo decor, and luxurious modern amenities like WiFi and hot shower. The room was spotless and the beds were surprisingly comfortable despite being small (my partner is Dutch). We also loved the cute attention to detail and add ons like: locally-made soap&shampoo bars, movie & bonfire nights.

At times the water pressure for the shower was a bit low. Using cold water to shave was a bit uncomfortable.

Out of the way island resort with nice breezes and relaxing atmosphere. Large Nipa huts were very cool to stay in. Staff was very accommodating and very friendly.

A bit far from the city center, walking 30min, so get a motorbike! We had some issues with transport, but the staff helped us out and treated us very professional.

We loved the bungalows and the idea of it. The whole property was just amazing and lovely. The cats love to be caressed! Would recommend it for the experience.

I stayed there for the second time after 4 years and it got even better, very well maintained and cottages look as shown in pictures, great place to relax at bit off the noisy area of Moalboal but still close to everything you need within 20-30 mins walking distance (restaurants, French bakery, city center, beach/snorkeling, etc.)

A lovely property in the middle of nature!!! The staff had thought of everything, if it wasn’t available in your room it was in the shared area. Particularly loved the coffee you could help yourself too! Staff were very friendly and helped us book all the tours we were after. I’d also now like my own outdoor bathroom!

Everything was excellent.

Super nice area in general. Very nice cottage and the common area, where one can find board games. The massage was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, so anything we needed we got right away.

The only recommendations I can give is cut small bamboo slates to cover the bathroom sink shelf so you have a place to put your items in the bathroom of my room. Other then that everything was perfect! Just far enough away from town you can just chill and relax without the traffic.

I love to stay here with the bathrooms built the way they are. It's like you are taking a shower in the jungle. Plus the staff is very nice and accommodating! And this is close enough to JJ's restraunt you can walk there and home after.

Great location if you want a quiet haven away from the city centre. It is a good 25 minute walk but we knew this and enjoyed this aspect! The breakfast was fantastic and served directly to your door! Lots of space chill out and relax and lots of free extras - ie film night, tea coffee water. Would definitely reccomend!

The excursions that they offer are significantly higher than what you can find in town, for us this was double in some cases. When we brought it up to them they didn’t offer any solutions - just said the price is what it is. We paid a lot for airport pick up and when we arrived the pick up wasn’t there. We got in contact with the property and it took them ages to get back to us and locate the driver

Amazing place away from the crowds but still close to the center. Loved the open air bathroom. The hosts are great and welcoming and super supportive. Highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again.

The only issue was that you can really get woken up by animals since very early like 4am. But if you are used to noises of roosters in the morning and you go to sleep super early you will be fine :))

We absolutely loved this place. It was super special and magical. I loved the bathroom covered in plants and the bed was super comfy.

The cottages are so comfortable and the setting is just lovely! The staff are among the friendliest and most welcoming I’ve ever met and they will do everything to help you enjoy your stay. There’s an awesome communal area too in a bamboo house that’s just amazing. You even get a hammock on your porch for those lazy afternoons when you’re tired from canyoneering and snorkelling! I can’t recommend this place enough as a place to stay.
